~ AFTER SOME DAYS PASS ~

After some days, UNO finds that the Israel did not intend violence but a peaceful diversion of the vessel away from its waters, activists attacked and forced the commandos to open fire in self-defense.

OIC passes new resolution to conduct more summits to plan more regarding actions needed to solve the Palestine problem.

Arab Summit states that we need more meetings and stringent measures against Israel to solve the middle eastern crisis.

Hamas agrees to all talks and deals designed by USA and Israel as long as a piece of land is leftover as Palestine.

Israel refuses to sit in peace talks because it wants a greater Israel and cannot discuss peace with terrorist organizations.

All the Muslim puppet kings and rulers go back to doing trade and diplomatic relations with Israel as though nothing had happened. All closed Israeli embassies are operational again.

The Ummah has some new heroes who gave great speeches and condemned Israel loudly and promised action and strong action and solutions, the Ummah will go back to sleep, expecting these puppets to be reformed and start caring about the Muslims.

After some months, similar incident occurs and the whole cycle continues until one state declares itself the Islamic Khilafah and establishes Islamic government system and prepares its armies to liberate the Muslim lands... the Ummah gets a real hero and everyone join shoulder to shoulder and once again the Muslim Ummah regains its honor and protection under the shade of the Khilafah, above all, the Ummah gains the pleasure of Allah by returning back to His deen and abandoning the deen of Britian, USA and France implemented in our lands today.

Welcome back Oh Ummah, back to the Khilafah, back to the system designed by Allah Himself.

Oh! So Its Valentine's Day... Note for Muslims

When we see the advertisements on the TV and print media it feels like the whole world loves each other so deeply. They are buying greeting cards, flowers, chocolates and electronic gadgets to express their love. There are songs about love and peace all over in this season and hearts and ribbons decorating each shop. Just change the channel on the TV and we see the reality, we see the wars, the killings, the crime rates, the domestic violence, the abuse, the exploitation, the greed and the ever increasing hatred. So, how does it all fit in?

Just On one hand while giving and receiving gifts is encouraged in Islam, one needs to look a little deeply to see how these newly invented special days are to be taken from an Islamic perspective. Why look deeply? even a really simple question about the Valentine's day can convince a less knowledgeable Muslim about the reality of this day. When someone says Valentine's day, what comes to your mind? a) A married couple or b) An unmarried couple dating/seeing each other ? How many times have you seen valentine's day products geared towards married couples? Are the words 'my valentine' synonymous with 'my wife / my husband' or with 'my boyfriend / my girl friend'? The promoters of this day are specially targeting the unmarried, young to middle aged, middle class and upper class population. The day is a sign and symbol of relationships between male and females which are beyond the sanctity of marriage and it promotes and encourages unlawful interactions between the two genders. This one reason is enough for a Muslim to keep away from celebrations and gatherings organized to commemorate this day. To participate in any event associated with this day is equal to patronizing it and propagating falsehood and the forbidden. An aware and concerned Muslim should refrain oneself from any participation as well as discourage fellow Muslims from involving in such gatherings or celebrations.

We are humans and by nature we are designed to love each other. No matter how much we want to refrain from participating in this day, yet the amount of reminders we receive through the ads all around us can still make us remember our loved ones, who are with us or those who are gone.

Most of the times, those who are in love (married couple)* describe the feeling as being lost in the person's presence as the whole world fades away. SubhanAllah, so strong is their love that the whole world fades away when they are together (married couple)*. We as Muslims claim to love our Creator and the Prophet of Allah (SAWS) more than anything else.

If we claim to love Allah the most and his prophet (SAWS) more than anything else, does our world fade away when we are offering our salah five times a day, in the presence of Allah? Do we experience the bliss and calm, the peace and serenity in the presence of our Lord, like the feeling described by a married couple in love? Or do we need to work on developing and strengthening this love, the love which is an obligatory love, the love which can take us to our final destination- jannah. So, now is the time to start and this love requires no valentine's day to strengthen itself or express itself, any moment, any place is fine to express our love for Allah and his prophet, a tiny sincere teardrop in our eyes can be far better than a million diamond gifts in the sight of our beloved Creator.

Infact, it has been made obligatory upon to love Allah and His messenger more than anything else to complete our faith in the sight of Allah. Anas (RA) quotes the prophet as saying:

“None of you is a true believer unless I am dearer to him than his parents, children and all others.” (Related by Ahmad, Al-Bukhari, Muslim, Al-Nassaie and Ibn Majah).

This point is clearly illustrated in the following conversation which happened between the prophet (SAWS) and Umar (RA).

Abdullah ibn Hisham, a companion of the Prophet, reports: “We were with the Prophet (peace be upon him) and he held Umar ibn Al-Khattab’s hand. Umar said to him: ‘Messenger of God! I love you more than anyone and anything else, apart from myself.’ The Prophet said to him: ‘By Him who holds my soul in His hand, this will not do, unless you love me more than you love yourself.’ Umar said: ‘Well, now you are indeed dearer to me than my own self.’ The Prophet said: ‘Now, Umar, you have got it right.’” (Related by Al-Bukhari).

The love for Allah and his messenger is obligatory as also understood from the following evidences:

[Yet there are people who take (for worship) others besides Allah, as equal (with Allah): They love them as they should love Allah. But those of faith (Muslims) are overflowing in their love for Allah…..] (Al-Baqarah 2:165)

Allaah says that which translates as: “Say [O Muhammad], if your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your wives, your relatives, wealth which you have obtained, commerce wherein you fear decline, and dwellings with which you are pleased are more beloved to you than Allaah and His Messenger and Jihaad [i.e., fighting] in His cause, then wait until Allaah executes His command. And Allaah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.” (At-Tawbah: 24).

“The Prophet is more worthy of the believers than themselves.” (Al-Ahzaab: 6).

“Say [O Muhammad], 'If you should love Allaah, then follow me, [so] Allaah will love you …'” (Aal 'Imraan: 31).

“You will not find a people who believe in Allaah and the Last Day having affection for those who oppose Allaah and His Messenger, even if they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred. Those – He has decreed within their hearts faith and supported them with spirit from Him. And We will admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide eternally. Allaah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him – those are the party of Allaah. Unquestionably, the party of Allaah – they are the successful.” (Al-Mujaadilah: 22)

But, as a human, even Muslims can end up in love with someone. What a Muslim needs to realize is that: Our beloved Allah is the one who has bestowed upon us the love of someone or love for them in our hearts and this worldly love should never compete with our love for Allah and his prophet. We should always be mindful and thankful to Allah and when something given by Allah is taken back, we should remain a thankful slave, bowing down to His decisions and asking for His mercy. A Muslim will not get depressed on losing someone he or she loved, if we they realize that Allah is the Giver and Taker of all things and to Allah is our final return. Being sad upon a loss is a part of human nature, but sadness should not extend into depression and transgression against Allah.

The best reason to love someone, is to love them because of our love for Allah. This way, we clearly make a distinction between our love for Allah which reigns supreme and our love for someone else. The following hadith explains how we can attain the sweetness of emaan (faith):

Anas (RA) narrated the Prophet (SAWS) as saying: “There are three qualities which are certain to give anyone the sweetness of faith: to love God and His Messenger more than anyone else, to love a person for no purpose other than for God’s sake, and to hate to relapse into disbelief after God has saved him from it as much as to hate to be cast in the fire.” (Related by Al-Bukhari, Muslim and Al-Nassaie).

Yes, to love a person for the sake of Allah, to love them to please Allah. Even if you lost this loved one, you will always remember that your love for this person was only to please Allah due to your love for Allah- and the love of Allah is never lost.

A with any love, our love is expressed by actions and the actions which express our love for Allah and his messenger are the actions which are prescribed by Him in the deen of Islam. Allah (SWT) has promised great rewards for this love we have for Him. The sahaba (companions of the prophet) had gained this level of understanding and level of love for Allah and his messenger, one hadith which shows us how much they loved the messenger is quoted below:

‘Aa’ishah, may Allaah be pleased with her, reported that a man came to the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam and said: "O messenger of Allaah! You are dearer to me than my family, my children and even myself. Sometimes I am sitting in my home and I remember you, and then I am overwhelmed with the desire to come and see you. When I think about your death and mine; I realise that when you die you will at the rank of the Prophets in paradise, but I fear that if I enter paradise, I will not be able to see you." ‘Aa’ishah, may Allaah be pleased with her, continued: "The Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam did not answer this man until Allaah revealed this verse “And whoever obeys Allaah and the Messenger – those will be with the ones upon whom Allaah has bestowed favour of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of the truth, the martyrs and the righteous. And excellent are those as companions.” (An-Nisaa’: 69)." (At-Tabari and others).

SubhanAllah!, a verse of the Quran revealed when one sahaba expressed his sincere love for the messenger.

Which of us does not want to be with the prophet and his great companions in paradise?
We are humans and sometimes, we are not able to perform the innumerable extra prayers and actions as performed by the sahaba. But, is there a way to get close to them without performing all the extra worship, charity and actions? (Extra here means the nafil/ optional actions). Yes, the following ahadith are an answer:

Ibn Mas’ood, may Allaah be pleased with him, and others narrated that a man came to the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam and said: "O Messenger of Allaah! What do you say about a man who loved some people yet did not do what it takes in order for him to be with them (in the hereafter" The Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam replied: “One will be with whom he loves” (Bukhaari, Muslim and others).

Anas bin Maalik, may Allaah be pleased with him, said that a man asked the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam: "When will the (last) hour come?" He sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam replied: “What have you done to prepare for it?” The man replied: "Nothing, except the love I have for Allaah and His Messenger." The Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam replied: “You will be (on the Day of Judgment) with those whom you love.” Anas bin Maalik, may Allaah be pleased with him, said: "We (his companions) never rejoiced at anything more than his words, when he said “You will be (on the Day of Judgment) with those whom you love.”
Abu Dharr, may Allaah be pleased with him, said to the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam: "O Messenger of Allaah! What is the status of a man, who loves a group of people, yet cannot perform the same (righteous) actions as they do?" He sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam replied: “O Abu Dharr! You will be with those whom you love.” Abu Dharr added: "I love Allaah and His Messenger." He sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam he said: “You will be with those whom you love.” Then Abu Dharr, may Allaah be pleased with him, repeated his statement and so the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam repeated his. (Ahmad, Abu Daawood and Daarami).

So YES! It is possible to get ourselves closer to them even if we are unable to perform the extra actions they performed (optional actions). Our sincere love for the prophet and his companions may, inshAllah get us there.

May Allah give us the correct understanding of His deen, give us the clean hearts and intentions to perform actions for His sake. May Allah give us the heart to love Him and his messenger more than anything else. May Allah put love and mercy among this Ummah and bind us into the strong bond of Islam and unite us against the oppression and falsehood. May Allah raise us close to our beloved prophet and his noble companions and May Allah give us a high station in paradise with His blessings.

Are minarets incompatible with democracy, secularism and capitalism? Lets boycott something...

The recent ban on minarets approved by majority of voters in Swiss has generated quite a lot of waves in the Muslim world. Alhamdulillah, it is a good opportunity to have a picture of the Islamic ummah and its united stance on various issues affecting our Ummah. This note is an attempt to keep ourselves reminded that there is a bigger, deeper problem. We should make sure we channel our energies towards eliminating the root cause of our miseries and not be distracted and content by boycotting a bunch of products in personal lives. This note does not discourage anyone from boycotting the products, albeit it does not see the personal boycotts as a solution for the ever increasing problems of the Ummah.

It is an observation that our boycotts and our protests are selectively against some oppressors while we are in a conflict-of-interest situation when it comes to the leaders directly involved in the killings of our people. The Danish still continue to be anti-Islamic and still continue to flame the fire of hatred and racism, the only thing is we quickly get bored and distracted from an issue by taking these skin deep measures and get a sense of action on our parts, while solving nothing,.

The root of the issue is, the incompatibility of Islam and their systems. They are ready to acknowledge this fact, while we are always ready to try and somehow mold Islam to seem compatible but, always failed. When they said, they are against the Islamic shariah, political and economic system- they are right- Islam is unique and completely different from them and cannot be made compatible unless except by ignoring parts of the Quran.

This is a lesson for the Muslims and a reminder of the warning from Allah that.."The Jews and the Christians will never be happy with you! Therefore, do not seek what pleases or appeases them, and stick to what pleases Allah by calling them to the truth that Allah sent you with.' Allah's statement" 2:120.

It is the economic boycott by our rulers as a nation which can bring other nations on their knees. Presently our rulers are busy boycotting Islam while some others are busy trying to please the Jews and Christian leaders by donning the 'moderate-Muslim attire' expecting them to be kind or helpful to the Muslims(?) inspite of the warning from Allah that it is not going to happen.

Our reactions should be proportional to the magnitude of the event and based on Quran and Sunnah to try and eliminate the roots of this evil system. Islam is not represented by minarets and domes, but by the implementation of the Quran, which has already been eliminated from our lands. The Islamic system is the soul of our society, if it is not restored we are just dead bodies trying to fight a live enemy. Issue after issue after issue every few weeks distracting our minds from the root causes of our problems.

I will only take this opportunity to bring to people's attention that we as an Ummah need to unite and defend the complete deen of Allah and voice our opinion in favor of establishment of the Shariah which is what scares the kuffar. The Shariah is the only just and balanced system designed by Allah Himself and there is nothing else allowed for Muslims to be ruled by, except the Shariah. As long as we keep protesting selected issues and compromise on the deen when we speak to the other kuffar leaders (like Obama) and try to mold Islam into come kind of cocktail which tastes good for all- the way Christians did to their religion, make it passive and meaningless to real life political, economic and social policies; until then we are not worthy of Allah's mercy by choosing to compromise. by ignoring His commandments

Join the boycott if you must, but please also join the global Muslim struggle for the restoration of the Islamic Imamah/ Islamic Khilafah in our lands. An army without a commander is just a bunch of people, whereas an army with a commander is a massive force with a focus, direction and resources. Islam has laid out clear principles of engaging with the kuffar and a very clear system which is mandatory for the Muslims to establish to bring peace, justice and the deen to our lands and this world at large. The kuffar are aware that our system is different from their system, they hate it because our system can eliminate all the evil webs woven by their corrupt oppressors. It is time, we acknowledge this simple fact and work towards the re-establishment of Allah's deen in our lands. Prophet Mohammed said: "The Imam is a shield, behind whom you fight and you protect yourself with...". (Sahih Al-Bukhari. Vol.1, Bk.4, No.830 & Sahih Al-Bukhari. Vol.4, Bk.52, No.204.)

We need our shield back! May Allah guide us to adopt His complete deen and grant us victory over the kuffar and the kafir systems plaguing our lands.

Apologetics rush to apologize and condemn with no evidence

Alhamdulillah, all praise be unto Allah Who has created us and guided us to the truth of Islam. Islam is a unique religion and ideology, in one hadith the prophet of Allah (SAWS) is reported to have been said, "The Muslim Ummah is a unique Ummah among the whole of mankind: Their Land is ONE, their War is ONE, their Peace is ONE, their Honor is ONE and their Trust is ONE." (Ahmed). Allah says in the Noble Quran, "And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allâh (i.e. this Qur'ân), and be not divided among yourselves, and remember Allâh's Favour on you, for you were enemies one to another but He joined your hearts together, so that, by His Grace, you became brethren (in Islâmic Faith), and you were on the brink of a pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus Allâh makes His Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.,) clear to you, that you may be guided....And be not as those who divided and differed among themselves after the clear proofs had come to them. It is they for whom there is an awful torment." Quran 3:103, 105.

Inspite of the reminders from Allah and His messenger today we find ourselves in a serious position of conflict of interest with regards to the place we live in and the deen we claim to follow. The kuffar have made it clear when one of the former presidents of a nation had said, "You're either with us, or you're with them". It cannot get simpler than that, the Muslims are being asked to make a choice and Allah has clearly mentioned in His final revelation, "Enter into the fold of Islam completely, and follow not the footsteps of the Shaytan." [Qur'an Al-Baqarah:208] and also when He says,
"Do you believe in a part of the Book and reject the rest? Then what is the recompense of those who do so among you, except humiliation in this life, and on the Day of Resurrection, they will be consigned to the most grievous torment !" [Qur'an Al-Baqarah:85]

The Muslims living in most of the countries face this challenge on a daily basis, irrespective of whether they are in a western kafir country or a Muslim secularized nation. Different Muslims choose a different way to resolve this conflict of interest. Various books have been written by Muslims and NonMuslims alike about how Islam is 'compatible' with western kufr concepts like democracy and secularism, liberalism and capitalism, etc. A detailed study with Islamic sources of ruling shows that these concepts are not only alien to Islam, they are infact nullification of Islam and completely kufr ideas from the deen of kafirs and cannot be accomodated in the fold of Islam. This article does not attempt to analyze how the kuffar attempt to filter and guide our organizations on their agenda. But, they have succeeded in putting the self-appointed Muslim leaders in a defensive apologetic position, always ready to apologize for something which is not even investigated.

A recent tragic incident in the US and the alleged article by a famous Islamic scholar condoning the killing of several US soldiers by a Muslim US military officer are all around the news world. Muslim organizations and scholars all around the world have taken no time in apologizing and condemning the Islamic scholar who is supposed to have encouraged the killing of US soldiers. The president of the US has warned the general public from jumping to conclusions because no investigation has been done yet and the actual cause or motive of the incident has not been confirmed. Regardless of the lack of information and evidence, once again the Muslim organizations have shown their apologetic attitude by quickly condemning the incident and the renowned scholar who has allegedly written in support. I cannot give an opinion by either condemning or condoning anyone without having the knowledge of the reality and facts. I only like to point out a few concerns regarding the issue:

1) The kuffar themselves do not have the full information yet to confirm the motive or details of the incident. How come Muslims already take the blame and start apologizing even before being put to trial?

2) Allah says in the noble Quran, "O ye who believe! If a wicked person comes to you with any news, ascertain the truth, lest ye harm people unwittingly, and afterwards become full of repentance for what ye have done. " 49:6 and further He says, "And pursue not that of which thou hast no knowledge; for every act of hearing, or of seeing or of (feeling in) the heart will be enquired into (on the Day of Reckoning). " 17:36. Most of the Muslims are reacting to an event of which they have no knowledge nor understanding about. Based on CNN? BBC? Fox? Allah, has warned us from jumping to conclusions in the verse quoted above and this is what we are doing when we react to this incident, the news of which maybe far from what really happened or far from the real motive behind the incident.

3) The Islamic scholar has not done any blasphemy or kufr to have received such a cold shoulder from the apologetic Muslim organizations and to have been cornered and alienated from the Ummah. The scholar has given an opinion based on Islamic principles and those who think that Islam is a total-nonviolent religion lack the knowledge of both Islam and Islamic history. Islam would not be a practical religion if it believed in such an impractical philosophy of religions like buddhism. Islam does allow the use of violence when required and it has laid down strict principles of how to conduct warfare to curb aggression and eliminate oppression in the world.

4) I have quoted verses from His last revelation at the beginning of this article. If a Muslim really believes in the Quran and authentic Ahadith, do we not see that our land is one, our peace is one, our war is one and our trust is one? How do you expect a person claiming to be a Muslim to go and kill other Muslims anywhere in the world? Did any apologetic organization condemn the Muslims joining the various armies of kuffar or Muslim nations who are openly massacring thousands of Muslims every day? Why is it that the apologies and condemnation is so strong and united when a few kuffar soldiers are killed while we have a cold shoulder for thousands of innocent civilian Muslims are massacred on a daily basis?

5) Regarding the person who actually conducted this act of violence, did anyone confirm the motive behind this act? Did the person actually leave credible evidence about the reason to go to the extreme step of killing enemy soldiers (yes, enemy soldiers- if he believed that Muslims were one Ummah and our war is one too).

6) Why did the several Muslim organizations did not take this opportunity to point out to the kuffar that Muslims believe in one Ummah and it was really cruel of them to force the Muslim officer to be sent to kill other Muslims when he was trying to get out of the army since three years according to their own records. Would these apologetic Muslim scholars and organizations be so strong in condemning the actions of the same man if he had gone and killed the same number of Muslims in their lands?

7) Why hasn't any organization talked about the real and basic reasons for such an incident to happen? Which could be the US foreign policy and aggression in the Muslim world, the open looting and massacres and the concept of the Islamic Ummah and the bond of Islam which is stronger than the bond of blood, race or nationalism.

In the end, I believe... the kafir president was right... the Muslims have no choice but to take a side. We're either with them or we are Muslims. No matter how much they attempt to neutralize Islam and convert it into a philosophical, theoretical and ineffective system like Christianity or Hinduism; Islam is the truth and it will always be the driving force for Muslims all around the world.

And only an Islamic system established with Islamic principles of ruling and governance can provide a real solution to the dilemma faced by the Muslims worldwide. When our beliefs are at conflict with the systems we live in, our hearts cannot find tranquility nor can this further the cause for true Islamic dawah and the promotion of justice and truth in this world.

A month of blessings and mercy of Allah is leaving us, as we bid it goodbye with tears in our eyes. The prayers, the fasting, the charity and good deeds had become so common around us, it seemed like the world has changed. People were more courteous to each other, inviting each other towards good and discouraging people from doing the bad.

The Masjid was full of worshipers at every solah, all standing together and bowing down to the Greatest Lord , with humility and devotion, with fear and hope, with prayers and thankfulness.

It had become easy to do good, had become easy to wake up early and stay awake late standing before Allah, with tears in our eyes seeking His mercy and forgiveness and such a blessed month is leaving us, will I be alive to witness another ramadhan ? or will this be my last ramadhan and no more ? did i make the most of this month ? some questions really arising in my mind as this month is fading away with the crescent moon of Shawwal shining bright in the night sky in the company of the innumerable twinkling stars and in this cold winter wind, I feel the warmth of Allah's mercy around me. I wish I had the taufeeq to make the most of this month, and wish I was successful in seeking Allah's mercy and blessings and wish my body is programmed enough to keep this emaan and spirit alive till the coming of next ramadhan so that I may increase further my emaan and learn to love Allah more and fear Him more and obey Him more, ameen.

But, since I was a kid I witnessed a phenomenon so sad yet real.As soon as the moon of shawwal is sighted the same Muslims who were icons of goodness, go back to their previous ways, with selfishness, deceit, arrogance, pride, extravagance and disobedience to Allah, the masjids become vacant again and soon the whole community forgets the goodness this month had taught us.

Lets make a pledge that we will stive hard to keep this spirit of ramadhan alive in our lives in all the coming months, because we are Muslims throughout the year and not only in ramadhan. What is good in ramadhan is also good and compulsary in other months for a Muslim, like solah, charity, honesty, humility and the spirit of sharing. May Allah help us realize this eternal truth and lead us on the path of those who receive His blessings and Mercy and save us from the path of those who deserve His wrath and punishment, ameen

I wish all the Muslims all around the world a very blessed Eid. Please do not forget our brothers and sisters who are facing oppression from the kafir oppressors even in this month, our brothers and sisters who are not fortunate enough to celebrate this wonderful occasion. Is Democracy Acceptable in Islam?

Contrary to popular misconception- democracy is not a new or modernized system- its a system from the time of ignorance or the jahiliyyah period - its origins are Greek atheistic. The western secularist rulers who are trying to convince the Muslims that democracy is Islam are deceiving us and spreading the system of jahiliyyah, and Allah says about this as follows:

Surah Maidah [5:50] Do they then seek the laws of the days of Ignorance? And who is better in law/judgment than Allah for a people who have firm Faith.

Second popular misconception is that democracy is about choosing our leader- the truth is that choosing a leader is only a minor part of democracy, the actual thing is about making laws based on opinions of people rather then what the creator has prescribed for us to follow, in Islam legislation is only for Allah, only the ijtihad - deriving a ruling from the Islamic sources and implementation of the hukm of Allah after applying it to the present reality is in the hands of the ruler in Islam. Even the Khalifah in Islam cannot make a law which is derived from any source other than Islam and the words of Allah are binding and supreme which is the opposite of democracy. Choosing our leader is also allowed in Islam, but this has nothing to do with both Islam and democracy being similar, because the reason the leader is chosen is totally different in both the systems. In one system, the leader is chosen to use his opinions and whims in making things haram or halal (Heard of Obama talking about making Marijuana legal?) Personal opinions are flawed as humans are not limitless in knowledge and wisdom and its even stupid to compare us with Almighty Allah, Astaghfiruallah. In Islam, the leader is chosen to implement the laws of Allah and derive rulings based on Islamic sources to the new realities, technologies and situations that emerge with time, no wonder the Islamic Khilafah lead the world in science and technology for 1200 years, after which they started borrowing concepts from the kuffar, which ultimately lead to its destruction about 88 years back. Its a proof that the Islamic system is the only one which is dynamic and acceptable to Allah and fard on the Muslims to live-by.

The patrons of democracy today, US, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain are the same culprits who colonized the whole world and looted the resources and are still looting the world of its resources and spreading corruption on earth, this verse of Al Quran suits this situation well:
Surah 2 "And when it is said to them: 'Do not make mischief on the earth,'' they say: 'We are only peacemakers.' " As claimed by the major oppressors of imperialist era and the post-imperial era until now.

The patrons of democracy are double-faced and hypocrites, they call for democracy in lands where the rulers do not bow down to them and where rulers do not sell their lands to these imperialist nations.. they do not talk of democracy where the rulers are in their pockets and ready to sell their lands for a meager worldly price and a seat in hellfire. Look into the history, look into the present, who were their allies in the past, whom do they fight now, why do they fight specific rulers and leave the monarchs and dictators alone if they are complying with their evil plans? It should show you what democracy they are patronizing and what is the reality of this illusion of democracy.

Democracy= translation from greek means 'rule of the people by laws made by the people', whereas in Islam, Allah clearly mentions, rule is only for Allah and people only represent and implement the shariah and a ruler in Islam can be kicked out of office as soon as they deviate from the sources of Islam. Allah says:
…The command [Hukm] rests with none but Allah… [6:57, 12:40, 12:67]

…To Him belongs the Command [Hukm]…[6:62, 28:70, 28:88]

…the Command [Hukm] is with Allah, the most High, the Most Great [40:12]

Say (O Muhammad): "Shall I seek for judge [HAKAMan] other than Allah? - when He it is Who hath sent unto you the Book, explained in detail."

We have sent down to you the scripture, truthfully, in order to judge[HUKM] among the people in accordance with what GOD has shown you. You shall not side with the betrayers. [4:105]

"And he who does not rule by what Allaah sent down, it is they who are the disbelievers." (5:44) And He says: "And he who does not rule by what Allaah sent down, it is they who are the wrongdoers." (5:45) And He says: "And he who does not rule by what Allaah sent down, it is they who are the rebellious." (5:47)

It is time for the Muslim Ummah to re-consider the lies and deception of democracy, secularism, socialism, liberalism, modernism, globalism and all the 'isms' being promoted by the kuffar.

It is time to study our history, our own ruling system which is obligatory on Muslims, and its time to spread the word and help each other in establishing the merciful, just and compassionate system sent down by Allah who alone has unlimited knowledge, wisdom and comprehensive vision of our life and all its aspects.

Say NO to Democracy and Say YES to the Islamic Imamah or the Islamic Khilafah. As a kuffar writer once wrote about Khilafah that..'it is an idea, whose time has come...' . Khilafah is coming and no kafir country or deceiver can stop it, inshAllah Ameen. The Khilafah cannot be established by force or bloodshed, but by intellectual discussion and promoting the true ideals of Islamic concept of rule and the reminding of the obligation upon the Muslims to cling to the rope of Allah, which is the Deen of Allah in all our life activities from birth to death 24/7.

Hudhaifah bin Al-Yaman reported that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam said:

"Prophethood (meaning Muhammad (SAW) himself) will remain with you for as long as Allah wills it to remain, then Allah will raise it up whenever he wills to raise it up. Afterwards, there will be a Caliphate that follows the guidance of Prophethood remaining with you for as long as Allah wills it to remain. Then, He will raise it up whenever He wills to raise it up. Afterwards, there will be a reign of heriditary rulers [The reign of Muslim kings] and it will remain with you for as long as Allah wills it to remain. Then, there will be a reign of tyrannical oppressive rule (like the present systems of secularism, democracy and globalism destroying our nations globally) and it will remain for as long as Allah wills it to remain. Then, Allah will raise it up whenever He wills to raise it up. Then, there will be a Caliphate that follows the guidance of Prophethood."

Then Hudhaifah said, "The Prophet stopped speaking."
[As-Silsilah As-Sahihah, vol. 1, no. 5]

The same hadith without any change of a word is also narrated by Hadrat Nauman Ibn-e-Basheer Radiyallaho Anhu in Musnad-e-Ahmad Ibn-e-Hanbal.

Shariah comp-LIEnt investments- Exploiting the widespread ignorance

Do you remember when you were a kid your parents brought you a coin box to save any extra pocket money which was left with you? Savings is a good thing and its one of the part of planning for building a future. But, is savings the most primary thing or there is something more to it? Kids are initially reluctant to drop their coins into that coin box or 'piggy' bank as it is popularly known, which no longer comes only in the 'pig' shape but also seen in the form of fruits, cartoon figures and objects to attract the kids' interest. Soon, the parents succeed in training the kids in the habit of saving money by giving them examples of how they could benefit from it and luring them to save with an expectation of a bigger reward in the future.

When the kids grow up with such a habit of saving, they do not indulge in spending excessively. But, in Islam everything is done in moderation this applies also to savings. When the kids become adults, the savings concept has also grown up to become an 'investing' concept. The money in the coin box does not increase no matter how long a period we keep it in there. But, an investment made into a business has chances of growth over time ! So, the savings money is then transferred into business investments with careful planning. Some people have another way of earning which is the least risky i.e., earning regular interest on the deposited amount. Whereas in the former option the potential to earn is unlimited but it comes with a risk and investment has to be done with careful planning about the company and market conditions. In the second option the risk is minimized but the returns are not as high as investing in business directly. Gradually over time people master the skill of investing, sometimes suffer losses but nevertheless a careful planning yields good returns.

Now, this post is not to educate people about the basics of investing rather to ponder upon a topic which is of vital importance to the believers. Can we invest in any company? Although, I have personally come across some Muslims who have no objection in investing in any company but it is purely their personal opinions and not derived from the Shariah so its useless to argue over them. They are others who do believe that certain things are haram and hence we cannot invest in some companies, like those who produce haram things, process pork or sell alcohol et cetera. These people have a basis for their opinion from the Shariah derived from the Quran and Sunnah. Hence, with the spread of Islamic awareness after a period of ignorance and oppression we find many investment companies came up with the slogan 'Shariah Complaint Investments / Halal Investments, etc'. On one website I found the company claiming this - I quote verbatim 'We screen all the listed companies based on the Shariah guidelines and do not deal in the ones involved in Haraam businesses like production and sales of alcohol, tobacco, obscene entertainment, banking / finance companies and companies involved in operations that are detrimental for our environment and ecosystem'. And people are happy to invest their earnings into these companies thinking that they have finally found an 'Islamic Investment Company'.

But, please wait a minute. Is not involving in production and sales of alcohol, tobacco, obscene entertainment enough to make the company shariah complaint? Or have we neglected something more vital than alcohol and tobacco? As some of you might have guessed, the issue neglected is of Riba / Usury/ Interest. But, we aren't taking interest from the company, we are investing it and earning the profits, which is purely trade and trade is halal isn't it? But, wait a minute, is the company earning only from selling its products? One thing I learnt in Financial Management and Market Economics is that companies invest part of their surplus retained earnings into long term investments to generate capital, and what does this mean? In simple terms, they put this money in the banks and earn regular interest over a period of time thus earning from interest and this practice is almost everywhere in the Capitalist economic system. Hearing this, a lot of people stopped earning from such companies which practice this; but, there will always be those who will not be ready to sacrifice their dollar dreams just for a simple concept of Riba, and hence they will try to justify their investments and earning by changing names or terms, while in reality it still remains riba and they know it themselves. Lets see what is Riba, what does the Quran say about Riba and what did the Prophet (saws) had to say about it.

Quran Speaks:
O you who believe! Be mindful of God and give up what remains of al-riba if you are believers. If you do not do so, then receive a declaration of war from God and his Messenger. But if you repent, you shall have your capital sums (ru`us al-amwal). You do not deal unjustly and you are not dealt with unjustly (2:278-279)

Al-Baqarah 275. Those who eat Ribâ (usury) will not stand (on the Day of Resurrection) except like the standing of a person beaten by Shaitân (Satan) leading him to insanity. That is because they say: "Trading is only like Ribâ (usury)," whereas Allâh has permitted trading and forbidden Ribâ (usury). So whosoever receives an admonition from his Lord and stops eating Ribâ (usury) shall not be punished for the past; his case is for Allâh (to judge); but whoever returns [to Ribâ (usury)], such are the dwellers of the Fire - they will abide therein. 276. Allâh will destroy Ribâ (usury) and will give increase for Sadaqât (deeds of charity, alms, etc.) And Allâh likes not the disbelievers, sinners.

One of several Ahadith on Riba:
Hazrat Jabir r.a. has reported that the Messenger of Allah peace and blessings be upon him cursed the devourer of usury, its payer, its scribe and its two witnesses. He also said that they were equal (in sin).

Riba is one the most major sins in the sight of Allah and His Messenger. And Allah has already said that there will be some people who will say 'Riba is just like trading' and Allah mentioned the fate of such people in the Quran clearly.

It is unfortunate, that in spite of having 50+ countries calling itself 'Islamic', none of them have a Islamic economic system, or companies not dealing in Riba. Although, some claim that their companies have 'Islamic Banks' and 'Riba free' Investment, a closer look at these companies show that they are just using a different name while selling the same product, yes they are rarely some companies which are riba free but since they are unable to compete in the market of capitalists, they do not give as much returns and hence people are happy to invest in other companies giving higher returns under the label of 'shariah complaint'.

The investment firms claim that they invest in only those companies which do not involve in haram like alcohol, tobacco and pork but no one ever mentions about not investing in companies which directly earn from interest and this profit is passed on to us as dividends and makes us direct earners of riba, and claiming ignorance is not an excuse because no one invests without finding out about the company and ignorance about the company is not the reason but ignorance about the Shariah. The company releases an annual report every year and quarterly financial reports for its investors and in it they list all the earning and source of earnings, and if they do earn from long term investments and interest on savings, then we get a part of that haram money and since by investing in the company we are direct owners of a share, it is a direct earning of Riba on our part (It is NOT a wage\salary earned for services, rather a part of profits for being a part of owner (shareholder\investor). Unfortunately, today we do not have our system ruling in our own nations. But, to live according to Islam, Muslims have no choice but to implement the Islamic system of governance which includes economics and social laws, this is an obligation upon us and not an option. Only when we re-establish our own system in our lands and discard the kufr systems left over by the previous imperial British\French\Portuguese masters will we be able to prosper in the right sense and the blessings of Allah will be upon our earnings. We cannot ask a capitalist system to arrange for Islamic banking for us, because its like mixing oil and water. Even if we get an Islamic bank, it will only solve 5% of the problem, because 95% of the problem exists in the system of capitalism by which the whole nation is run.

"And whosoever does not rule by what Allah (swt) has revealed, such are the Kafirun (disbelievers)." [TMQ 5:44]

"And so rule between them by what Allah has revealed, and follow not their vain desires..." [TMQ 5:49] "The command (or the ruling) is for none but Allah." [TMQ 12:40]

There will always be people who will claim to be more 'progressive or logical' and they will claim that its impossible in todays world to invest without dealing in Riba and hence they should not be stopped or we won't progress. Well thats their statement and it should not be a justification of a sin. If there is no system conducive to our way of life, we should demand a system in our lands instead of flowing with the water as foam, we should stand up for our rights as a Muslim. In our own lands we are deprived of the fruits of Islam, and we succumb to the evil fruits of man made systems such as capitalism, communism , democracy and secularism which are inspired by nothing more than 'vain desires of man'. Progress comes from Allah, and that is the Aqeedah of a Muslim, investments are only a means to progress and when we invest by waging a war against Allah and His Prophet(saws) how can we expect Allah to put progress into such earnings? (O you who believe! Be mindful of God and give up what remains of al-riba if you are believers. If you do not do so, then receive a declaration of war from God and his Messenger....2:278-279).

Islam does not stop societies from progressing, rather it guides it to progress while maintaining a vital balance in the overall development of a society and nation and cares for the right of every creature in the jurisdiction of Islamic Shariah. The history of Islamic civilization is enough proof to the statement above. The world has seen a tremendous development in science and technology under the Islamic Khilafah, while Europe was in dark ages, Muslim scientists were pondering about sea routes, stars, world maps and medical sciences. The Islamic civilization was the one to hand over the torch of science and technology from the ancient to the modern age, itself being the vital link. Our system is not made by us rather in Islam, the system by Allah makes us !

By watering an apple tree and expecting it to bear mangoes on its branches, we are wasting our time, effort and resources and unintentionally making the unwanted tree stronger and stronger.

May Allah guide us all and give us the strength to carry forward the dawah of His deen to whole mankind so that everyone shares the fruits of prosperity, justice and equality like they were shared under Islamic Spain when even the Jews had their golden age under an Islamic System, and like under Umar (ra) when Africa became a richest continent with no one eligible to accept Zakah ! Ameen.

Halt tegen het lasteren van Islam - HALT! AGAINST THE SLANDERING OF ISLAM

The western 'thinkers' have lost the war of ideas and concepts against the Islamic world. In centuries of colonization, dividing and corruption spread in the Muslim lands could not eliminate the words of God from the minds of Muslims. They could brainwash everyone else, the Hindus have bowed to their corrupt systems, the Buddhists are happy, the communists have lost due to their illogical concepts, the Christians are happy singing hymns in the Church while oppression and tyranny reign in the world. The gap between the rich and poor is ever increasing, morality and social justice is thing of the past. Only the Muslims were not taking their 'dye' and retained their Islamic color. Something had to be done, so instead of scholarship, research, dialog and analysis they now use the tactic which was used since the birth of Islam, succeeded in the short run, but failed miserably in the long run. They use, lies, deceit, hatred and false propaganda to defame and present Islam as something it isn't. Misquoting the Quran, without quoting verses which come before and after those they quote, never mentioning the context of those verses, and relating those verses to political and economic struggle led by those they oppress. Europe has once again proven, that freedom of speech only means freedom to say lies, while the same nations are trying their best to curb the same freedom from the Muslims to voice their opinions, and wear their clothes with the Hijab ban in France and European supporters of it.

The Saved Sect - Direct Ticket to Jannah !

The Messenger (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) said, "There will not cease to be a group from my Ummah manifest and upon the truth not being harmed by those who forsake them neither by those who oppose them" and he (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) also said, "And this Ummah will split into seventy-three sects, all of them in the Hellfire but one". They said, which one is this O Messenger of Allaah? He replied, "They are those who are upon what I and my companions are upon today".

Of the infinite issues we are facing today, one of the major and vital ones is 'sectarianism' in Islam. Although, a blog is not a place to write in detail about sects and how they are formed and what purposes they serve (even if negative). Today, I would only like to 'refute' the claims of a sect which is busy 'refuting' the whole ummah who do not accept their conditions. They are busy calling others a 'khwariji' which is a softer way of saying 'kafir'. Point to be noted is, I do not adhere to any sect, so my words do not represent any sect or this is not a sectarian dialogue, rather a monologue aimed to analyze the claims of those who believe in sectarianism and divisions.Today we have dozens of 'sects' in Islam, each claiming to be the saved sect. And one more I came across quite often is the 'sect' which calls itself 'xyzfi and boasts openly to be the 'saved sect'. (You can refer their websites and books to know more). The basis of their claim is that, according to the hadith quoted above, they follow the path of the Prophet (saws) and his companions (ra).

First things first, does the Quran say anything on this topic? Yes it does !
The Glorious Qur’an says: "And hold fast, All together, by the rope Which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves;" [Al-Qur’an 3:103]. Further the Quran says, "As for those who divide Their religion and break up Into sects, thou hast No part in them in the least:Their affair is with Allah:
He will in the end Tell them the truth Of all that they did." [Al-Qur’an 6:159] and "Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger"[Al-Qur’an 4:59]... Surah Al-Mu'minun (23:52-53):"And verily this Ummah of yours is a single Ummah and I am your Lord, so keep your duty unto Me. But they have broken their religion among them into sects, each sect rejoicing in its tenets."

Did the prophet (saws) say anything about sects ? Sure he did...
According to Tirmidhi Hadith No. 171, the prophet (pbuh) is reported to have said, "My Ummah will be fragmented into seventy-three sects, and all of them will be in Hell fire except one sect." The companions asked Allah’s messenger which group that would be. Where upon he replied, "It is the one to which I and my companions belong."

"Awf ibn Malik reported that the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, 'The Jews split into 71 sects: one will enter Paradise and 70 will enter Hell. The Christians split into 72 sects: 71 will enter Hell and one will enter Paradise. By Him in Whose hand is my soul, my Ummah will split into 73 sects: one will enter Paradise and 72 will enter Hell.' Someone asked, 'O Messenger ofAllah (Peace be upon him), who will they be?' He replied, 'The main body of the Muslims (al-Jama'ah).' And in another version of this Hadith the Prophet (Peace be upon him) goes onto say that the saved sect, "...Are those who follow my and my Sahaba's path" (Tirmidhi, vol. 2, pg. 89)

It is amusing, that the sectarians use this very hadith to prove that their sect is the saved sect. How? They claim that we will be divided, and only our sect is on the true path whereas all others will go to hell, for e.g. the 'xyzfis' are very open in calling everyone else as 'khwariji' and 'deviant' unless they accept the label as 'xyzfi'.

Analysis:

The Quran is crystal clear, it prohibits all divisions in clear words as you can read in your Quran using the references given above.

The hadith said By Him in Whose hand is my soul, my Ummah will split into 73 sects: one will enter Paradise and 72 will enter Hell. The Prophet (saws) said, WILL be split, he did not say 'should be split'. If something is going to happen, does not mean that we start making it happen or help it by dividing our deen, because in the verse quoted from Quran, Allah asked us to do the opposite. So, just because it 'will' split, does not justify our people's efforts to split it actively and distribute labels.

Now, the analysis about the second part of the hadith; the Prophet (Peace be upon him) goes onto say that the saved sect, "...Are those who follow my and my Sahaba's path" Please make a note, the Prophet (saws) DID NOT give a name of this sect, he gave a quality of the people of this sect. It might as well be an unofficial 'sect\group', how ? Do you remember, the 10 people who were given the glad tidings of paradise in this world itself ? we have a name for their group, we call them as 'Ashra Mubashra'. But, it was an imaginary group, they did not have a label or did not have special characteristics, it was a group based on their 'quality' not joining or affiliations. Similarly, among the 72 sects, can't there be a 'sect' of people who follow the prophet (saws) and his sahaba (ra) and still may not be a real 'sect'. It might as well be people from various sects, but the condition will be they have right aqeedah, right character and follow the ways of the Prophet and Sahaba (saws , ra). Now, as far as the claim 'join us we are saved sect', by saying so, that sect is claiming that anyone outside their sect is going to go to hell and is misguided! While, they find members of their own sect, some of them drink alcohol, gamble, earn haram incomes, involve in lots of haram, some are fasiqs, and they say they are saved, which implies that they mean to say that they "are those who follow the Prophet (saws) and his sahaba (ra) : astaghfiruallah, can they be really those who follow ? Just because they name a name for their sect and it claims to be saved ? Irrespective of their actions ? Its something for you to think.

Now, how necessary is it to call ourselves as 'xyzfi , abcdfi etc' ?
The 'xyzfi' are the most staunch, when it comes to sticking self-printed labels on self. They encourage the idea, that one should make sure to say one is 'xyzfi Muslim' and not just a Muslim. Okay point taken...

Argument: But, Allah called us Muslim in the Quran, how can we change the label or add to the label ? "Who is better in speech Than one who calls (men)To Allah, works righteousness, And says, ‘I am of those Who bow in Islam (Muslim)?’ "[Al-Qur’an 41:33] It is mentioned in chapter 3 verse 52 of Al-Qur’an that Jesus (pbuh) was a Muslim.Further, in chapter 3 verse 67, Al-Qur’an says that Ibrahim (pbuh) was not a Jew or a Christian but was a Muslim. Say ye: "Bear witness That we (at least) Are Muslims (bowing To Allah’s Will)." [Al-Qur’an 3:64] ??? Isn't it wrong to add-on to a label given by Allah ?

Sectarian \ xyzfi's explanation (I personally got): During the time of the sahaba there were no sects, so it was not needed for them to call themselves by any label. But, today we have everyone calling themselves Muslims, while they have beliefs far from Islamic Aqeedah. So, to make the other person know that you are on right track, you should use a label ' xyzfi Muslim', its a madhab of xyzfiyyah. Just calling ourselves 'Muslims' is not enough anymore.

My analysis: Firstly, during the time of the sahaba itself, there arose many difference of opinions among the sahaba themselves, they even had fights but did not have any label other than 'Muslim'. There were also 'sects' which started spreading misinformation about Islam, some did open kufr, some mixed Islam with kufr, so what did the sahaba and the salaf do? Instead of making a label for themselves, the sahaba and salaf, called those misguided people as 'khwariji' and they themselves retained the title of 'Muslim'. And thats the reason, there were no 'sects' during their time. Its like saying, "they did not shave because they had long beards", while the truth is, they had long beards because they did not shave, not vice versa. They did not have 'sects' because they did not 'invent' them, although they had difference of opinions, they retained their label as 'Muslim' or calling the misguided people as 'Khwariji' they did not add-on words to their titles as ABC Muslim or XYZ Muslim, to distinguish from those misguided people.

Do these people know more than Allah, about what those who call people towards truth should call themselves ? If they have a Quran, please read what Allah wanted such people to call themselves.

Did Allah have no knowledge that later the Muslims will divide in groups? Did Allah not know they will be among the Muslims, who will not be really Muslims, like some of our honorable salafi fasiq kings directly responsible for millions of death, tortures and rapes of my sisters in Afghanistan ,......, ......... and Iraq.

Muslim was the label for people who call others towards Allah's path. Irrespective of some people using it wrongly or justly. A man cannot come along and start changing what Allah put in.

Just for arguement sake, lets agree the xyzfi is right, although its illogical and baseless reasoning.
So, suppose today there are 100,000 people calling themselves 'xyzfi Muslim', years pass and then we have difference of opinions among the xyzfi sect itself (because when humans use minds, difference of opinions occurs in their thinking and reasoning). Like today we have, Madkhalis xyzfis, Sahwi xyzfis and xyzfifi Jihadis. Now, what does a xyzfi say when you argue, which of them is on 'true' path of 'sect' 'xyzfi' ? He will quickly say, those are imposters and misguided, they are not xyzfi etc etc. Hey hey, why double standards? When it came to true path of Islam, you wanted an add-on label to the label given by Allah as Muslim. And, now when it comes to true 'xyzfi' instead of further classifying your sect into 'abc xyzfi' and 'xyz xyzfi', you are removing others from your sect ? Like you made Muslim as xyzfi Muslim, why dont you make xyzfi as Abc xyzfi and Xyz xyzfi to show that your on truth of madhab of xyzfiyyah? (In reality, we already have them.) Some xyzfis may even agree to do so, because of a brainwashed mentality to divide and further divide with labels which serve no purpose, because labels are rendered meaningless in time, only label we accept is 'Muslim', because that was the label given by Allah. So, by now we have 'Abc xyzfi Muslim' and Xyz xyzfi Muslim'.... we go further 25 years and each sect has new scholars and new difference of opinions, so will they further divide each sub-division to show what they 'truly' believe ? .. If they did, we'll have something like "123 Abc xyzfi Muslim' and "789 Xyz xyzfi Muslim" . . . imagine what will happen after 25 more years and new scholars and a little more difference of opinions ?

One more characteristic of most xyzfis I met is, they swear blind allegiance to the kings of Saudi. And they quote a reason for their belief... they say " Ash-Shahrastaanee defines a Khariji as: Anyone who walks out against (seeking to overthrow) the true appointed Imam (leader) upon whose leadership the Jamaa'ah is in agreement is called a Khariji." And hence, we should support the Saudi Kings as they are our Imams.
My point is, who appointed the Kings of Saudi ? Do they claim to be a khalifah? Did they ever take 'bayah' from the public? Is a 'truly appointed Imam' just because he is born to another king, become 'truly appointed' ? Does, Islam appoint leaders based on birth only? Those kings, invest billions of dollars in Riba based (Interest based) companies in USA (like Citigroup), UK and Europe (This fact is open for you to investigate). Some rulings about Riba,

Al-Baqarah 275. Those who eat Ribâ (usury) will not stand (on the Day of Resurrection) except like the standing of a person beaten by Shaitân (Satan) leading him to insanity. That is because they say: "Trading is only like Ribâ (usury)," whereas Allâh has permitted trading and forbidden Ribâ (usury). So whosoever receives an admonition from his Lord and stops eating Ribâ (usury) shall not be punished for the past; his case is for Allâh (to judge); but whoever returns [to Ribâ (usury)], such are the dwellers of the Fire - they will abide therein. 276. Allâh will destroy Ribâ (usury) and will give increase for Sadaqât (deeds of charity, alms, etc.) And Allâh likes not the disbelievers, sinners.

Ahadith on Riba:
Hazrat Jabir r.a. has reported that the Messenger of Allah cursed the devourer of usury, its payer, its scribe and its two witnesses. He also said that they were equal (in sin). Further says Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said that riba is a conglomeration of 70 major sins, the lightest of which is like committing adultery with one’s own mother.

So, if you find out that those rulers involve in interest based companies which Muslim would want to give support to such a ruler, who is using the land's wealth as a king (not even as appointed ruler), and helping the kuffar riba based companies ? I leave it to the public.

SecondlyQuran says, "And whosoever does not rule by what Allah (swt) has revealed, such are the Kafirun (disbelievers)." [TMQ 5:44] "And so rule between them by what Allah has revealed, and follow not their vain desires..." [TMQ 5:49] "The command (or the ruling) is for none but Allah." [TMQ 12:40]

Further says,

"0 you who believe! Take not as (your) Bitanah (advisors, consultants, protectors, helpers, etc.) those outside your religion since they will not fail to do their best to corrupt you, they desire to harm you severely." [TMQ 3:118]

"Those who take disbelievers for 'Auliya' (protectors, helpers, friends) instead of believers, do they seek honor, power and glory with them? Verily, then to Allah belongs all honor, power and glory." [TMQ 4:139]

"0 you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as 'Auliya' (friends, protectors, helpers, etc.), they are but 'Auliya' to one another. And if any amongst you takes them as 'Auliya', then surely he is one of them. Verily, Allah guides not those people who are the Zalimun (wrongdoers, oppressors)." [TMQ 5:51]

"0 Prophet (Muhammad)! Keep your duty to Allah, and obey not the disbelievers and the hypocrites." [TMQ 33:1] "And obey not the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and harm them not (until you are ordered). And put your trust in Allah, and sufficient is Allah as a Wakil (Trustee, or disposer of affairs)." [TMQ 33:48]

"0 you who believe! Take not My enemies and your enemies as friends, showing affection towards them, while they have disbelieved in what has come to you of the truth (Islam, the Qur'an, and the Sunnah), and have driven out the Messenger and yourselves because you believe in Allah your Lord! If you have come forth to strive in My Cause and to seek My Good Pleasure, (then take not these disbelievers as your friends). You show friendship to them in secret, while I am All-Aware of what you conceal and what you reveal. And whosoever of you (Muslims) does that, then indeed he has gone (far) astray, (away) from the Straight Path." [TMQ 60:1]

Is this your 'truly appointed' imam which you do not want to speak out against ? He is not an Imam, nor 'appointed' nor did anyone give 'bayah or pledge' to him other than blinded 'xyzfis' who are sponsored by those Kings, and in turn preach their King-slam not Islam of Mohammed (saws). It is a parasitic relationship, they support a sect with money and the sect supports them with brainwashing people to bow down to them, while the money is coming from haram income from companies which deal in riba and owned by the kuffar, and they justify this saying that 'its for bigger good of the ummah', can you do haram and defy Allah and then assume you are doing a bigger good for the same people, against whom you are helping the kuffar?

Saudi Arabia, under those fasiq rulers has bases for American and Kuffar soldiers, provides comfortable amenities for kuffar troops, provides oil and fuel to those aircraft which go and bomb fellow Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan, please re-read the verses above in this context.

Stated ‘Abdul-Azeez bin Abdur-Rahmaan Aal as-Sa’ood, "Indeed I am Salafi, my aqidah is Salafiyyah, by whose requirements I traverse upon the Book and the Sunnah". (Stated during the pilgrimage of 1965, ‘Al-Mushaf was-Sayf’ p.135).

Shaikh Saalih Aal ash-Shaikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs of Saudi Arabia, stated, "Muslims are of two groups: Salafis and Khalafis. As for the Salafis, then they are the followers of Salaf us-Saalih (first three generations of Muslims). And as for the Khalafis, then they are the followers of the understanding of the Khalaf and they are also called Innovators - since everyone who is not pleased and satisfied with the path of the Salaf us-Saalih, in knowledge and action, understanding and fiqh, then he is a khalafi, an innovator." (Haadhihi Mafaaheemunaa, Chapter on Ascription Salaf and Salafiyyah).

Is this a new thing ?

In recent years, the world has seen an apparently new phenomenon. A chain of events in which either a book is written against Islam in a very derogatory way, or someone makes a cartoon to incite hatred and protest from 1.5 billion Muslims around the world and lately I found people talking about a movie which is to the same effect. The common thing in all the events are:

1) The events, authors, or publishers are well supported by the European and Western governments.
2) Irrespective of their previous literary accomplishments or the lack of them, and ignoring the junk quality of their literary works, they are showered with awards and international recognition and suddenly a loser becomes a hero in literary circles, not without the disgust of the real gems of the literary world.
3) Every such event, book or movie, elicits lot of reaction from the Muslim world and some of this leads to violence and loss of lives.
4) And after every such protest, those governments and groups promptly issue statements about how violent and savage Muslims are and how they were right about what they show in the movies.
5) And every such shameful act is justified in the name of 'freedom of speech' while they openly deny that same freedom to Muslim women who want to cover their own heads in France, by imposing a ban on head scarf, hypocrisy !

Now, is this a new phenomenon ?

The history of western animosity to Islam is centuries old. A French writer, Count Henri Decastri, wrote a book in 1896 entitled ‘Islam' in which he stated;

‘I cannot imagine what the Muslims would say if they heard the tales of the mediaeval ages and understood what the Christian orators used to say in their hymns; all our hymns even those which emerged before the 12th century emanated from one concept which was the cause of the crusades, these hymns were filled with hatred towards the Muslims due to the total ignorance of their religion. As a result of those hymns and songs, hatred against that religion became fixed in people's minds, and the erroneous ideas deeply rooted, some of which are still carried nowadays. Everyone used to regard the Muslims as polytheists, disbelievers, idol worshippers and apostates.'

A quick glance at history shows us that, this is nothing new and nothing creative. This was happening since 1400 years. During the time of the Prophet (saw) the propaganda against Islam started very early on during the Makkan period. Once the Da'wah started to take root in Makkah and shake the societal relationships, the Quraysh initiated a relentless campaign of libel and propaganda against Islam. This propaganda was not just confined to Makkah but spread to neighbouring tribes and even abroad to Abyssinia.

The Quraysh carefully planned how they could best discredit Islam especially during the Hajj season when Makkah would receive a huge influx of visitors. After a lengthy debate, the government of Quraysh agreed to accuse the Prophet (saw) of being a sorcerer possessing the Sihr al-Bayan (magic of words) and went around telling those in Makkah not to listen to him. Abu Lahab, the Prophet's (saw) hateful uncle followed him around everywhere telling people not to listen to his message.

Since, the birth of Islam the western world has looked at Islam as an enemy because Islam was accepted by the world like no other religion before. In a decade after the formation of the first Islamic Khilafah, one third of the world was being ruled by Islam. People entered into Islam community by community, nation by nation and this was seen as a threat by the Church ruled theocratic Europe. People loved Islam because, an Islamic state was not ruled by a Pope or theocratic system, nor was the system oppressive to anyone. Islamic state had rights for Muslims, rights for Non-Muslims and security was ensured for everyone. The generosity and the never seen beauty in any system can be seen in the way, Islamic state treated the Jews. While throughout centuries, the Church led oppression on the Jews always increased, they were homeless and eventually took refuge in Islamic Spain. The Church, was oppressive and barbaric to various sects in Christianity which did not believe as the Pope wanted them to believe, and this religious fanaticism and barbaric cleansing was termed as 'inquisition' which has nothing comparable in the history of mankind. The same Jews which were homeless for centuries had their 'Golden Age' of literature and culture under the fruitful system of Islamic Khilafah in Andalusia. Science and technology, art, literature, medicine, architecture and cultural development were at their best while under the system of Khilafah. Europe was in the dark ages, and the Church led rule, gave no hope. The power hungry priest rulers, started a campaign against Islam, using lies and deceit right from that time. Rumors were spread about how barbaric and uncivilized the Muslims are, and how backward their lands are, and how they mistreat the Christians in their lands. Thus, by spreading hatred and lies, they managed to gather the largest armies from Europe to bring bloodshed and misery to a growing and far superior civilization. They started their bloody 'crusades' and spared not even the Christians living in Jerusalem who were from a different sect of Christianity. Blood flowed in the streets of Jerusalem when the barbaric crusaders came in the name of their religion to 'liberate' Jerusalem. They were awestruck with the splendid city, the medical hospitals, the markets the system and prosperity, the only good thing they got from the crusades was a spark to cause renaissance in their backward barbaric and theocratic Europe, this period would first bring the Europe of Dark ages face to face with the Islamic world, the books were translated, arts exchanged, languages learnt, and thus Islam was still giving light to the dark theocratic Europe.

In the 11^th century the propaganda against Islam was used to fuel the crusades against the Muslim holy land of Palestine and Al-Quds (Jerusalem). The savagery and hatred of these ‘religious' crusaders is well documented. On their entry into Jerusalem they slaughtered so many inhabitants that according to the account of one of the crusaders "the slaughter was so great that our men waded in blood up to their ankles."

Despite the atrocities of the crusaders, when Salahudeen Ayyubi re-opened Jerusalem two centuries later he did not take revenge on them and instead gave them safe passage back to Europe. His actions exemplified the objective of jihad , which is to make Allah's (swt) word the highest and not to simply slaughter and kill people in an indiscriminate holy war.

Since, the first said lies and deceit had worked against Islam, it never ended. Every years we have seen people write a book, make a movie or publish something derogatory to Islam. So much that even their present Pope could not stop himself from following the footsteps of his predecessors in this shameful display of lies and deceit.

In 1917 when Britain occupied Palestine, General Lord Allenby planting his sword in the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, boasted "Now end the Crusades!"

In July 1920 when the French general Henri Gouraud took charge of Damascus, he strode up to Salahudeen's tomb next to the Grand Mosque, kicked it and exclaimed, "Awake Saladin, we have returned. My presence here consecrates the victory of the Cross over the Crescent."

Islam is a religion, which has grown inspite of centuries of efforts to stop it, they can crush people, bomb homes, blast Mosques, blaspheme the Prophet, sabotage the media but can they stop hearts from being guided when they look to find the truth ? Muslims love every Prophet of God, right from Adam to Moses to Jesus to the final Messenger Mohammed (peace be upon them all), Muslims love their Messenger more than they love themselves, and is this the way you use 'freedom of speech' ? Abusing the Messenger is more hurtful to a Muslim than abusing his mother, and you do it repeatedly and when someone reacts in anger, you show that as a sign of his barbaric nature ?

If it was really 'freedom of speech' these people really honored. I would like to ask, if hurting a billion and a half people is justified in the name of 'freedom', why can't they let a Muslim girl cover her own body in the schools of France? Why can't a Muslim woman have the 'freedom of expression' when she wants to wear clothes as a human, isn't this hypocrisy, while you encourage abuse and hatred against 1.5 billion Muslims, you cannot accept that a woman has a right to wear her own clothes when she herself wishes to do it? And, they talk about liberating 'Muslim women' ! alas, when will you realize, Muslim women are more liberated then your women. Muslim women have the right to cover their own bodies and they do not enjoy displaying their bodies for you to feast upon, its your women who have no choice, your system exploited woman to the extent that it reduced her to a display piece and a physical 'thing' to be used.

How should the Muslims react ?
We all know the main aim of those derogatory works is nothing about literary value or contribution to research, rather the aims are all political. By inciting violence, they want a chance to show Muslims in the way they want the world to see us. Involving in blind violence against unknown civilians is not the Islamic way, nor did our Prophet teach such a thing. Had there been an Islamic Khilafah existing today, it would have raised it voice as a nation representing us, but alas we destroyed our khilafah ourselves by fooling ourselves with kufr concepts of nationalism, secularism, capitalism and democracy. Our lands are full of Muslims but led by people who have no backbone nor any interest in the affairs of the Ummah. Muslims, should speak out in the best way possible, use every means, write, speak, demonstrate but do not assume that this is the solution, it is only a temporary thing. At the same time, Muslims must work towards uniting, spreading awareness about the Islamic system, they should work towards implementing the Islamic khilafah governance in their lands and uproot the British\French\Portuguese gifted kufr systems left behind when they left our lands after looting it for centuries. Advancement and development does not come from kufr, but from Islam. The Islamic world was at the pinnacle of science and technology in every sector when the Islamic system of governance was implemented, and not to mention the social justice provided by laws revealed by Allah Himself.

Moreover, it is not for these reasons that Muslims should implement Islamic system. Being a Muslim itself, it becomes obligatory upon every Muslim to strive to implement the laws of Allah because Allah says in the Qur'an "He who rules by anything other than what Allah has revealed is a disbeliever 5:44" today the whole Muslim world is ruled by something other than what Allah has revealed? what do you make of it ? How could we ignore such a vital obligation and made ourselves busy in fighting over the length of the beard and how many rakah for taraweeh and about issues over which Islam is so flexible, while ignoring vital obligations and fard actions?
Allahu Alim, may Allah guide us. Allahhumma Ansurna Alal Qawmil Kafireen, alal Qawmidh'Dhalimeen, alal Qaemil munafiqeen, Ameen.

"I believe in Quran...but its not practical" sounds a familiar statement ?

First things first, if you are a Muslim who has accepted Islam, I may remind you that rejecting verses of the Quran or the authentic ahadith of from Prophet (saws) removes one from the state of Islam to the state of kufr and these are Islamic limitations. We cannot decide that we are Muslim just by labeling ourselves, it is our beliefs and affiliations which decide what we are. This post is purely intended for the people who are Muslims, those who believe and affirm that the Quran is the final revelation, and that Mohammed (saws) was the final Messenger and whatever he said was from Allah Himself. As a Muslim we do not place our personal opinions and philosophies above the Quran or the Prophet's teachings. No one is forced to be a Muslim, as Islam clearly states 'No Compulsion in religion, truth stands out clearly from falsehood' so, one is free to choose if they want to be Muslim or not, and if they choose to be a Muslim they are obligated by Islam to keep the Quran and Sunnah as their primary sources before any other source including their own 'intuitions' opinions and philosophies. Hence, when the Quran is quoted here, it means its binding on the Muslims to keep it above any other opinion of any scholar, teacher, professor or our own self. If someone does not agree with the Quran then they better call their religion by some other name and leave Islam to what Islam is, instead of forming a version of Islam because 'Islam' is 'copyrighted' to Mohammed (saws) no one has the right to use that term and put their own words into his text or rulings.

If someone gives a valid explanation or shows a command or law from the Quran, it is binding on those who 'choose' to be a Muslim, to submit to that commandment or law unless someone else shows them evidence from the same Quran that the law does not apply anymore. If they think these are not practical laws, then they are free to make their own religion and beliefs but do not ascribe it to Allah or His Messenger, and nor infringe on the copyright of the term 'Islam' because Islam was only from Mohammed (saws) as he taught it, if you disagree with what he had to say, please pick a name for your religion, don't misguide people by selling sand in boxes labeled as gold.

There seem to be a growing so-called 'group' amongst the ummah which is propagating the idea that the Quran and Hadith are not meant to be taken literally but kept as an 'inspiration' metaphorically, in other words, they want to say 'the State is separate from the Church' as the Christians did when they got fed up with the barbaric rudimentary and theocratic church which abolished science and tortured sects of their own religion in the name of 'inquisition' and which was responsible for many bloody wars in the history of mankind which were never repeated by any other nation even till now. This group is more dangerous than the kuffar because, they act like us, while propagate ideas which negate us from Islam. They propagate the idea that following Islam as commanded by Allah in the Quran is impossible in today's world and hence we should become 'moderate' and stop trying in vain. Some are those who do it out of ignorance while there are others who make it their motto of life to 'evolve' islam, while some are planted and watered by the kuffar to program the ummah's mind to sing their tune.

Someone recently a friend told me that he read a book in which the author was inciting the people to kill the disbelievers and take their properties in the name of Islam, and quickly my friend labelled him as an 'extremist'. I said, wait a minute. Does Islam say "kill the disbelievers and take their properties" except in the state of war? and the answer was negative. Then, I said, how can someone who is asking us to do something which Islam does not ask us to do, be a "Islamic\Muslim Extremist"? Because, when I read that term, it implies in simple English that, that person is inspired by Islam to hold such views, while it is never the case ! How can you call a person who kills civilians in the name of Islam during a time of peace as Muslim extremist while he is in fact violating the teachings of Islam ? How can I be an 'extremist mathematician' if I propagate the idea that 2 + 2 = 5 ? would you call me an 'extremist mathematician' ? or a miguided mathematician? so why double standards when it comes to Islam?

My previous post about the label 'extremist' tries to shed some light how this term came into our vocabulary, and has almost stuck itself to 'Islamic extremist' like the term 'terrorist' is always linked to a Muslim. It is unfortunate to see our own people fall prey to this linguo-psychological mass programming initiated by the kuffar leaders to cause divisions in the ranks of Muslims and make us as confused as we were at the time of the battle of Uhud and thus they can win over us while we are busy labeling each other and defining our labels which have no basis in Islam itself and were the labels purely gifted to us by the kuffar leaders and propagated by the literature, movies and television channels sponsored by them.

By picking up religious vocabulary from the Kuffar leaders and propagating them amongst ourselves, and trying to label each other using the labels given by the kuffar, we are unintentionally helping their agenda. While Islam is flexible, yet nor Allah nor His final Messenger (saws) gave us any definitions of a 'Extremist \ fundamentalist \ moderate' Muslim, we are not in a position to make labels and definitions ourselves and stick them to each other's back. The kuffar leaders are not new age prophets to give us our identities, they got no new revelation from Allah that we ought to 'listen and obey' them. They injected racism, then left our nations after centuries of imperial colonization with a venom in our blood called nationalism which still runs in our people, yet Islam still was uniting the world and now the new venom of 'Extremist \ Moderate' which is yet another attempt to divide and rule. The Prophet (saws) gave up his entire life to eliminate 'racism, nationalism, tribalism, sectarianism, mysticism, vandalism and capitalism' to bring the light of Islam into our lands and our hearts illuminated with his divine message. Let us not pollute our hearts and again fill them with things the Prophet (saws) wanted to eliminate, his message was clear, we are one Ummah, one family, so much that he said we are like one single body and each of us different parts of a single body, mashallah !

Differences of opinion will exist forever among Muslims, this shows how flexible and humane Islam is, while Islam makes clear distinction on major issues which clearly define who is a Muslim and who is not, it also leaves space for people to hold opinions, because only when people 'think' do they form opinions, as long as an opinion is based on the two ONLY sources of Islam - Quran and Sunnah they are valid opinions and any opinion with a stronger 'daleel' evidence from the sources can be accepted. But, it does not mean we are left to label ourselves like we want, our label is only 'Muslim' the label given to us by Allah Himself, lets not throw the label given by Allah to replace it with a label by a Bush or Blair or some scholar sitting on a cushion and passing 'fatawa'. Allahu Alim, may Allah guide us all, may Allah remove us again from the darkness of ignorance 'dhulum' to the radiance of truth 'islaam', and grant us proper understanding of His deen. Ameen

Islam- Do-it-Yourself Kit How to brand someone as 'extremist' ?

Recently the Kuffar leaders have used another psychological weapon against Muslims by inventing and widely promoting specific labels for us to stick upon ourselves. Those labels help them to fight the Ummah by dividing it into sections, encouraging, supporting, financing and giving free publicity to one section favorable to their ideology and agenda. On the other hand they wish to freeze the assets of the other section, suppress them, demonize and silence them and give them no publicity in media or news except misinformation. Those two labels are 'Conservative \ Extremist ' and ' Progressive \ Moderate' . These labels have no basis in Islam and should never be used nor encouraged by Muslims.

But, it has eventually taken space in our minds, literature and social interactions. We daily see people labeling themselves and each other with those labels totally unaware of the magnitude of harm they are causing to the Ummah and Islam. I wish to show how people show their love for Islam while at the same time have their own brand of Islam...

The Parents want their children to be 'good Muslims' obedient and to follow the parents wishes and obey them and be kind to them.. but as soon as a child wants to follow Islam and not the culture which clashes with Quran and Ahadith, and wants to marry in a sunnah way and not culturally inspired rituals which are against Islamic teachings, they brand him an Extremist !

Muslim single women want to marry a 'good Muslim' man. Because, they know he will be kind to her, and give her all her rights and take care of her as he is a good Muslim. But, as soon as he says he wants to grow a beard to follow a sunnah, or he wants to keep away from Riba\Usury\Interest money and such practices which are clearly forbidden\haram in Islam, she brands him an Extremist !

A Muslim young man wants to marry a 'good muslimah' lady. Because, he knows a good muslimah will be faithful to him and give him all his rights and do all her duties and take care of his home. But, when she wants to wear a veil or keep away from mixed gatherings or does not want to accompany him to his office party which involves free mixing of men and women or wants him to pray five times a day obligatory prayers, he brands her an Extremist !

A Muslim guy wants to have a good Muslim as his friend. Because, he knows a good Muslim will be a faithful friend and will help him in need and share his happiness and joy without any ulterior motives. But, when the friend discourages him from smoking weed or going to parties which serve alcohol and have free mixing of men and women, he brands him an Extremist !

The are innumerable examples where people brand each other as Extremist.

It seems as if Islam is taken as a religion customizable to suit the personal preferences of each individual in the world. We seem to always agree with those people who agree with what is convenient to us in terms of living, so we make Islam bow to our priorities instead of our priorities bowing down to Islam! There are some who neglect the obligatory acts while they are hell bent on making people follow the sunnah to the letter. And there are those who totally eradicate the importance of sunnah and want us to 'reinterpret' Islam and eliminate the authentic ahadith!

It seems that Islam is been taken as a religion confined into the walls of the Masjid, whereas the same Muslims are free to live and behave as they desire outside the Masjid, in their homes, in the markets and work places.

It seems as though Islam has no scripture to support its beliefs like Hindus can believe whatever they wish, as long as they call themselves Hindu because they have no authentic proofs for their beliefs apart from mythology and obscure unauthentic texts.

It seems as though Islam has nothing to say about what money is halal, what kind of banking is halal, what kind of products are halal, what kind of clothing is halal, what kind of punishments for what kind of crimes and what kind of rule and social system is halal.

It seems as though Islam is like a Pizza, on which everyone has an option to decide what kind of toppings they want!

May Allah guide us, grant us wisdom, courage to stand up for His deen, and love for His messenger in our hearts (saws), May Allah helps us to kill our egos to speak the truth, even if it is against our own selves, may Allah grant us victory over the corrupt and oppressors.

Peace comes from the Creator

Horrific events unfolded at a university campus in the month of February; an academically brilliant ex-student of this university (which enrolls more than 25,000 students and many of them foreign students) entered a classroom and opened fire upon the students without warning. Using his shotgun and two small pistols he fired towards whoever he saw and thereby caused widespread panic on the campus. The whole campus was put on alert, the doors were closed shut in all buildings and all you could see was helicopters in the sky and police and ambulance vehicles rushing towards a building with their blaring sirens and shocked onlookers. The incident resulted in the death of 5 students plus the killer himself committed suicide in the end of this bloody disaster and not to mention many more injured and several thousands shocked and still trying to recover.

Why did he do that? He was a good student, he had earned a Dean's award, had impressive papers to his credit, why would he do that? What caused it? How to prevent it? these are the questions which were raised soon after the incident. This was reported to be the fifth shooting incident in a school in that week in the USA according to news. A country supposed to be one of the most developed, with such a high standard of living, which prides in their social freedom, a beacon of knowledge for students from across the globe; why are such incidents becoming a common event in the schools and colleges across this nation? No one can forget Virginia Tech, and now this one takes the second place and many more which leave some dead and which do not get complete media coverage, but in the end, its all the same even if a single bullet was shot and no one killed, still its a same incident and needs to be attended to.

It is true that this nation has advanced so much in science and technology that today it has the strongest army in the world, manages the largest amount of resources worldwide and is accepted to be the 'sole super power' nation in todays world. But, the nation is hollow on social level, spiritual level and personal level. People living like zombies day in and day out, the system is designed in such a way that everyone is in a maze, running all the time but getting no where and the people who are 'operating' this maze, use the masses like living robots, while those 'operators' exploit and hypnotize the masses, they suck every drop of blood out of you, keep you ignorant, uninformed or better mis-informed (the corporate sponsored news channels will make the job easier) while they keep you busy and it ends up in a society full of turmoil, conflicts, stress and social disasters. Families are single-parent, kids growing up with child abuse, and school kids shooting each other at schools has become a norm. With all this advancement they gained, they failed to work on their spiritual needs, they fed their bodies while their souls grew hungrier with each day until *poof* one day, they end up finding their own answers to spiritual thirst and showing the answer to the society in such ways, and then people ask 'why?' from asking stage they should go ahead and ponder more upon what they are doing wrong as a society, and they will surely get the answer. They have neglected, or actually totally ignored a vital area of human existence, the soul and spiritual needs. The guidance of their own creator in matters of life and the world. While the secular society does not worry if there is a God or not, if there is let him be in temples and places of worship, while the laws and rules of man should be made by man himself, is what secularism preaches. They fail to realize if there is a God, what does He want, did He keep himself out of our affairs and let us do what we decide amongst ourselves, or did He give us a code with His knowledge, as to what is better for us to do ? They look back at how the church treated scientists in the past and how science and the church were antagonists, and they conclude that religion is a vestigial thing for man, have it or not, it don't matter. Hence, they develop their own social rules, own social norms and today the world is in a chaos because each has their own interests in the norms and rules they design. Often leading man into an abyss of ignorance, a darkness and confusion leading to a spiritual crisis. The societies have bread but no appetite, they have beds but no sleep, they have families but no love, they have materials but no peace. For Allah says in the Quran “Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find peace”. (13:28) The creator would by default be the best person to decide how His creation are to govern their affairs, how to conduct ourselves in personal and social dealings, how to behave towards each other, how to regulate things and punish the offenders ... in his arrogance man rebels against His own creator, keeping His commandments at bay and making their own, thereby with trial and error creating a confusion which put the society and the whole world in a total chaos.

It is sad to say but the bitter truth is that even the Muslim countries and societies are facing the same problems and slowing walking the same path as their kafir role models, neglecting the rulings of Allah (swt) and preferring the rules of man in governing their affairs. It has given nothing to this Muslim Ummah except misery, poverty, ignorance and backwardness. People blame this backwardness and misery to Islam and give the example of Muslim countries to justify their statement; but, a careful evaluation of these countries shows that these nations were pioneers in science, technology, arts and material development while they lived under the Islamic system as a society and nation, this backwardness came after they abandoned the Islamic System in governance and adopted an alien system left behind by their colonial powers, they tried to put patches of Islam into this system which in its essence remained secular with Islamic garnishing to fool the masses. What result can you expect from such a system, and what reaction can you expect from a Creator who promised that His system is the best for us, while we reject His system so arrogantly and still boast of being His slaves? Of course, He is right if He thinks that we are ungrateful, because thats what we are, by preferring a man made patch-work system over His beautiful, just and fruitful system.

It is time, the Ummah realizes that Islam does not end inside the Masjid, but it starts in the Masjid, and extends to every section of our life, from the way we give rights to people, to the way we punish criminals, to the way we do business and the way we elect our rulers and run an economic system based on Islamic principles which showed their fruits in the past, and will undoubtedly produce the same results as soon as they are implemented as they ought to be. In Islamic system, or the Khilafah, the rulers DO NOT make the laws, they only implement the laws already made by Allah, they serve the people and the shariah controls the power they get in being a ruler over the masses, thereby inherent checks and balances produce a fertile environment for social and scientific development totally unseen in any other civilization as was under the khilafah for thousands of years, nourishing both the material and spiritual aspect of man and producing a tranquility while spreading justice to the whole world.

Lets read more about our own system, which Allah sent for us, lets go back to our own ways and abandon the ways of the kuffar, lets go back to the way Allah showed us, so that we can raise our hands and say ' O Allah, now we are back to your way, now raise us and honor us again as you did when we were on your path' and inshAllah, the help of Allah is at hand, if Rome and Persia could not stand 1400 years back, nothing can stand when Allah is with us, and He will be with us
only when we choose His ways in our lives and governance, over other kufr systems. May Allah help this Ummah realize how it was misled into this trap, and give us the wisdom and strength to come out and seek Him again, and forgive us and take us back in His shade of Mercy and help us as he helped young Khilafah in Madinah against Rome and Persia.

Operation Death…

This is the tale of an average man,

Who acts contrary to Allah’s plan.

If you are reflected herein,

Then repent, and commit no sin.

‘It was early in the morning at four,

When death knocked upon a bedroom door.

“Who is there?,” The sleeping one cried.

“I’m Izrael, let me inside.”

At once, the man began to shiver,

As one sweating in deadly fever.

He shouted to his sleeping wife,“

Don’t let him take away my life!”

“Please go away, O Angel of Death!

Leave me alone, I’m not ready yet.

My family on me depend,

Give me a chance, O please perpend!”

The Angel knocked again and again,

“Friend, I’ll take your life without a pain.

‘This your soul that Allah require,

I come not with my own desire.

“ Bewildered, the man began to cry,

“O Angel! I’m so afraid to die.

I’ll give you gold, and be your slave,

Don’t send me away to the unlit grave.

“Let me in O Friend!” the Angel said.

“Open the door, get up from your bed,

If you do not allow me in,

I will walk through it like a jinn.

“ The man held a gun in his right hand,

Ready to defy the Angel’s stand.

“I’ll point my gun, towards your head,

You dare come in, I’ll shoot you dead.

“ By now, the Angel was in the room,

Saying, “O Friend! Prepare for your doom.

Foolish man, Angels never die,

Put down your gun and do not sigh.”

“Why are you afraid! Tell me O man,

To die according to Allah’s plan?

Come, smile at me, do not be grim,

Be happy to return to Him.”

“O Angel! I bow my head in shame,

I had no time to take Allah’s name.

From morn till dusk, I made my wealth,

Not even caring for my health.”

“Allah’s commands, I never obeyed.

Nor five times a day, I ever prayed.

A Ramadhan came, and Ramadhan went,

But no time had I to repent.”

“The Hajj was already, incumbent on me.

But I would not part with my money.

All charities, I did ignore,

Taking usury, more and more.”

“The laws of the Qur’an, I will obey,

I’ll begin salat this very day.

My fast and Hajj, I will complete,

And keep away from self-conceit.”

“I will refrain from usury.

And give all my wealth to charity.

Wine and wenches, I will detest,

Allah’s Oneness I will attest.”

“I’m afraid this moment is your last,

Now be reminded, more of you past.

I do understand that you have fears,

But it is now too late for those tears.”

“We Angels do what Allah demands,

We can not go against His commands.

Death is ordained for everyone,

Father, mother, daughter or son.”

“Your two ill-gotten female offspring,

In nightclubs for livelihood they sing.

Instead of making them more faithful,

You made your children ungrateful.”

“You lived in this world, two scores or more,

Never did you, your people adore.

Your parents, you did not obey,

Hungry beggars, you turned away.”

“You ignored the Muezzin’s Azan,

Nor did you read the Holy Qur’an.

Breaking promises all you life,

Backbiting friends, and causing strife.”

“From hoarded goods, great profits you made,

And your poor workers, you underpaid.

Horses and cards were your leisure,

Money-making was your pleasure”

“You ate vitamins and grew more fat.

With the very sick, you never sat.

A pint of blood, you never gave,

Which could a little baby save.”

“O human, you have done enough wrong.

You bought good properties for a song.

When the farmers appealed to you,

You did not have mercy, ’tis true.”

“Paradise for you? I can not tell,

Undoubtedly you will dwell in hell.

There’s no time for your repent,

I’ll take your soul, for which I’m sent.”

The ending, however, is very sad,

Eventually, the man became mad.

With a cry he jumped out of bed,

And suddenly, he fell down dead.

O Reader, take a moral from here,

Never know, your end may be near.

Change your living and make amends,

For heaven, on your deeds depends.

Why does it take a suffering person to understand the pain of others ?

Salam Alaikum

I am sorry I did not post anything for a while on this blog. I am going to kinda blast a bunch of posts if time allows me. Being in the office and having no work to do is more boring than being jobless hehehe. But, this place does not give me the peace of mind to write on my blog because I am always wondering if my boss will drop in himself or send an email with some work, which never seems to happen. So, I am taking this chance to try and post a couple of entries in my lonely blog and I hope I can do justice to my humble thoughts.

Recently, I got an eMail which I got several times from many different people before. The eMail is about a person born without hands and feet due to some unknown medical condition it says , (although I think the medical condition is not unknown but thats not of consequence to what I have to say). The person born without limbs, did not lose hope but he grew up with great faith and strength. He went to school, got a degree. Volunteered for various organizations and now even gives inspirational talks in educational and religious events, although I am not sure he must also be an evangelist, calling people to Christianity.

Apart from this event, I have seen various other times in my own life as well as through people, media and news, that people who have suffered or are suffering seem to understand the pain and suffering of others better than those who never saw suffering. It must be human nature, unless we feel what it is to sleep on a cold pavement, we never realize how hard it is for a homeless child to sleep on a winter morning in the street with nothing to cover himself except rags and waste paper. Parents become philanthropic and charity oriented when they lose their child to some calamity or disease and start spending their money in charity organizations. Children do the same when they lose their parents to some tragedy. Organizations do the same, and there is always some 'trigger' event which changes the life of a person or sometimes a whole community or nation. Many people revert to Islam after a tragedy in their life or in the life of someone close to them. So, this 'trigger' plays a vital role in the functioning of this world as it is today. Suppose those people had not suffered those tragedies, they would live like 'normal' people, minding their own business, dreaming of a better home, better car, better bank balance and a better retirement. Rarely would anyone think about that homeless child or the cancer patients who need charity hospitals. After all, its some of the cancer victims (direct or indirect victims) which donate largely to the cancer foundations. Almost the same thing applies to various other religious, social, educational or charity organizations.

All the above was from a secular perspective which even an atheist will understand by basic human psychology and anthropological concepts. But, as a Muslim what do you make of it ?

The atheists argue that if there is a God, how come He made some poor, some blind, some lepers and some crippled ? How come God is not just and kind to make everyone same and equal, so they argue, that there is no god !

I love atheists to some extent because, they have already accepted half the shahadah hehehe, they already proclaim "La Ilaha.\ There is none worthy of worship". Because, most of the atheists are not blind sheep but rather reach this conclusion by their understanding and human intelligence, and the next step in this proper evolution will be accepting the second half of the shahadah "il Allah \ except Allah" which inshAllah will happen if they continue their search for truth with the same unbiased and open-minded scientific human intelligence, because Islam is not theory but practical. Islam can be demonstrated, debated, felt, touched and experimented to show its effectiveness. Islam does not ask people to 'have faith' rather 'contemplate and attain that faith', the Quran calls humankind to use their God-given faculty of intelligence, to ponder over Allah's creation, use science, art, logic, or math in every human science there is the unignorable truth that there is a creator, this world is not random and not without a ruler. Great scientists have greater faith behind a creator because they understand the intricacies of this creation and can never even assume for a second that it was all randomly caused, rather it has to be a master-design of a master-creator. . . . after thought ~ ~ ~ ))

As a Muslim, we are aware of a much deeper understanding of this world and its purpose. We have all the parts of this puzzle and where to place them, we also know the parts which are missing, which are unaccessible in this world to humankind and we do not 'manufacture' those unaccessible puzzle pieces to suit or purpose, rather we leave those puzzle spaces unfilled, till they become accessible to us.

Allah gives birth to each child out of His divine plan. The crippled you see today, he has a great role to play in Allah's plan than you can imagine. Allah could wet the eyes of His slaves just by having them see that crippled and thus realize the great blessings of Allah upon them. The crippled is punished ? Nah ! This world is just a fraction of a second compared to the ever lasting paradise, the crippled when he gets his reward from Allah tomorrow for being so patient, that crippled would feel like he was crippled just as much time it takes for you to blink your eyes compared to the everlasting paradise he gets. Would I mind being crippled for 1 second in return for an everlasting paradise ? To give an example from this world, would you mind being crippled for one day, in return for a million dollars in cash the next day? hehehe any sensible person would not mind sitting on the bed for 24 hrs, if he could get a million dollars the next day. As a Muslim we know, all what we get is a test, all what we lose is a test again. So, keeping in mind how only those who suffer tend to give back to this world, can you see how a plan is in work ? If Allah wished, He could make us all equal , same color, race, and strength. But, that will be in paradise. Here diversity is a test, and may Allah give us the understanding and wisdom to grasp His plan and His message for us. Lets see what Allah says about loss in His last book for mankind... "And We will most certainly try you with somewhat of fear and hunger and loss of property and lives and fruits; and give good news to the patient" (Noble Qur'an, 2:155).

Although, the above plan is the one working in mankind, should even the Muslims be so unconcerned about others unless we suffer ourselves? Lets see what Islam teaches about this concept. In one hadith the prophet (peace and mercy of Allah be upon him) said something similar to..., Muslims Ummah is like one body, if one part feels the pain, the whole body suffers with fever. In other words a homeless child in Sudan should be a cause of worry to an Arab sheikh in Dubai, or the fact that Muslim women are being oppressed in Chechnya or Palestine as you can see in the image on the left, should boil the blood of Muslim youth in India or Malaysia. When our finger hurts, we do not ignore it, rather treat it well so that the illness does not spread to other parts of the body, each part of this Ummah is a part of this body, how can we ignore a part, how can the right hand be comfortable when the right foot is being amputated? The prophet (peace and mercy of Allah be upon him) also said something similar to..., All Muslims are like the teeth of a comb, uniform, equal and a family in Islam.

I shall post some Ayah of the Quran and leave you to ponder upon them...

"And in their wealth there is acknowledge right for the needy and destitute." (51:12)

"And whoever saves a life it is as though he had saved the lives of all mankind." (5:32)

"O mankind, we have created you from a male and female." In other words, all human beings are brothers. They all are the descendants from one father and one mother.

This division of the human race is neither meant for one nation to take pride in its superiority over others nor for one nation to treat another with contempt. "Indeed, the noblest among you before Allah are the most heedful of you" (49:13)

So, next time you see a blind, a crippled, a destitute or a homeless child. Thank Allah for what He gave you, and don't wait till calamity strikes you to soften your heart, rather start today. Sharing gives so much peace to your heart, not even a mountain of gold can give, and this is medically astonishing phenomenon, try once its worth it :)

Malaysia and USA in Free Trade ? Don't be the latest Victim

Recently I read in the news about Malaysia and USA about to make an agreement about Free Trade, and people who are unaware of the implications of this agreement, they think that Malaysia is going to prosper by trading with USA.

To be brief, I just want people to open their eyes to the reality of this ' Free Trade ' USA is spreading across the globe and what it brings to a nation.
Today, America's economy is dwindling much faster than in the past century. It has been into war with someone or the other since the end of WW II. The 'Project for new American Century' talks about how America should control the world economy and world markets as well as natural resources, mainly oil to be able to retain its super power status as well as 'rule the world', in their report which was released much before 9\11 ever happened, they mentioned about needing another 'pearl harbor' like event so that they can go ahead with their plans, and 9\11 happened right at the time they needed it ! and they got the green signal to go ahead with their invasions keeping the UN and Human Rights at bay, without much resistance from the general public who is still unaware what is actually going on ! They invaded Afghanistan for one man- Bin Ladin and did not get him nor any 'senior' leaders of 'Al Qaeda' (I doubt if this Al Qaeda even exists or is the biggest story we have been told !), they invaded Iraq for the alleged 'Weapons of Mass destruction' which were never found although people don't care because their attention was diverted to other 'spicy' stuff like Saddam and Civil war in Iraq, the people are like a toddler, u shake a toy on the right and he is distracted by that toy, u shake it on his left side and all he sees is that toy on the left with no idea what is on his right !

To be precise, America is under a big debt since a long time and the way of reducing this debt is to pass it on to other nations, and a very deceptive way of doing it, is by Free Trade agreements. In a Free Trade agreement, Malaysia's currency will no longer depend upon its economy or amount of hard work Malaysians do for their nation, rather its going to depend upon the American Dollar, if the dollar goes up the RM goes up, if the dollar comes down RM comes down. After the Free Trade, America will be able to manipulate almost everything in Malaysia, like it has been doing for Egypt and many other 'Islamic' countries. Right from elections, governments, policies, laws to the Friday Sermons given in Masjids will be dictated by America.
If Malaysian really want to prosper they should open their eyes to this big dirty trap ahead of them, this is just a dangling carrot and it is going to lead Malaysia into an utter abyss of immoral life and corrupt society. If Malaysians do not wake up to this reality and oppose Free Trade with USA, it maybe too late in the future until their nation becomes another Zombie walking behind USA in a trance. And we all know where they are heading to, and May Allah save us from following them.

My Favorite Movie ! Le Grand Voyage

In our lives, we hold some things very dearly. Some songs, some books, some poems, some people, some places and many other things, and in my life this simple movie is very dear to me.I was suggested this movie by a very good person. Maybe that person never realized that this movie is gonna become one of my MOST favorite movies of all time.

I have been searching for this movie since a long time, with English subtitles and I waited eagerly to watch it, and today I finally watched the whole movie and words cant explain how I felt watching this movie, its simple and about a simple event in someone's life and I suggest everyone to watch this movie once, and watch it with English subtitles, because this movie is French and Arabic, although the dialogs are very less, but watch out for the emotions the unsaid words, the unsaid lessons and the power of wisdom and faith...... I am pasting a review of the movie below and also a trailer of the movie, and providing a link to the full movie on Google video, but I am sorry it does not have English subtitles. "Reda, summoned to accompany his father on a pilgrimage to Mecca and he is asked to drive his dad from France to Mecca, complies reluctantly - as he preparing for his baccalaureate examination and, even more important, has a secret love relationship. The trip across Europe in a broken-down car is also the departure of his father: upon arrival in Mecca, both Reda and his father are not the characters they were at the start of the movie. Avoiding the hackneyed theme of the return to the homeland, the film uses the departure to renew a connection between two generations.

Another year has passed away and here comes the blessed month of Ramadhan'ul Mubarak. The significance of ramadhan is unquestionable in the minds of every Muslim. A lot of Hadith mention about this blessed month, Quran mentions that it was revealed in the month of Ramadhan.

For every Muslim this is a month of piety and devotion to Allah and His deen. Even people who never cared to pray or fast, come back to Allah in this blessed month and every Masjid is full of people in the daily prayers and especially during Maghrib. But, why does the effect of ramdhan slowly fade away from our hearts ? Why do the Masjids start getting empty as soon as the moon of shawwal is sighted ? Once we are done with Eid ul Fitr, we tend to forget that the 5 prayers are compulsory in every month and not only in Ramadhan. Maybe its because shaitaan takes extra effort to take us away from our deen once ramadhan is finished, because our emaan tends to grow and reaches extreme heights in this blessed month.

Nevertheless, we should strive to keep the spirit of Ramadhan alive for as much time as possible, and the best is to keep it alive till the arrival of next ramadhan so that our emaan reaches new heights with the arrival of another ramadhan in our lives.

Lets promise to bring about a positive change in our lives, starting with this Ramadhan. Young or old, it is never too late to bring positive changes in our mind and souls. And to bring such a change we have to consciously follow some basic steps...

1) Beginning with making a very strong and truthful intention that we want a positive change in our lives, closeness to Allah and His deen and to become beloved in His sight.

2) We have to bring about changes in our surroundings, our habits and our activities. Keep away from people who tend to attract you towards anything which displeases Allah. Stop every habit which may displease Allah for seeking the pleasure of Allah alone and not for other reasons.

3) Seek the company of pious people, they may seem boring but they hold a lot of wisdom in their minds. Try to get closer to them and see life from their perspective for sometime and see how well Islamic principles apply to your life. Sitting in their company itself is a method of changing our lives. Just like sitting in a blacksmith's workshop can get your clothes dirty and sitting in a perfume shop can leave traces of perfume on your clothes, same way the company you keep, can effect the thoughts in your mind.

4) Plan a routine of good deeds in the blessed month. Instead of doing things randomly bring about an order in your life. Everything is in order in the world of Allah, the planets, stars, comets , atoms, electrons and life. Order is seen in every aspect of Islam, in prayers, dua, fasting and Hajj. Brining an orderly planned schedule for deeds, helps us evaluate ourselves and develop more upon our taqwa and emaan. Plan your timetable keeping in mind each solah, and devote an assigned amount of time for Dhikr (remembrance) of Allah, reading of a part of the Quran each day on assigned time, Plan out your charity in advance, each day, each week or once a month, plan out any volunteering you would like to do for your local masjid, or school or hospital and do it with discipline and sincerity.

5) Radiate this qualities to the world. Don't just bring about a positive change in your own life but also try to extend this positive change to the society and world around you. Encourage people to do good deeds and try to stop people from doing bad. Share the things you have with the people who are not as blessed as you. Invite people for Iftar and do not ignore the needy and the poor who deserve your charity too.

6) Once the end of ramadhan approaches, make a conscious decision to keep this spirit alive and strive to make your body and soul adapt to the deen of Allah and not to the secular world order. Stick to your Quranic teachings and work hard to gain the pleasure of Allah, even if you are made a joke or called by silly names, choose between Allah's pleasure or pleasure of His creation.

7) Make lots of D'ua daily for our fellow brothers and sisters in various parts of the world, suffering and facing extreme oppresion in the lands of Palestine, Bosnia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Kashmir and many many more. If possible try to plan out sending some charity to them in the form of money or materials, the least is a sincere Dua for them each day, everyday.

I hope Allah brings upon this blessed month upon us soon and I shall be grateful to Him for giving me another ramadhan in my life, a chance to seek forgiveness for my sins and a chance to repent and turn back to Allah.

May Allah give us all the hidayah to understand the merits of this blessed month and give us the hidayah to fulfill our obligation towards this month, and make us of those who gain the pleasure of Allah in this month and also gain forgiveness and His mercy, inshAllah, Ameen.

Ummah of Islam

Salam Alaikum

After reaching DeKalb, the first thing I was concerned about was finding a Masjid nearby. In the land of the kuffar, it was indeed a great blessing from Allah that I have a Masjid close to my apartment at a walkable distance Alhamdulillah.

When I went to the Masjid, I saw people from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia Indonesia, Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt. Some students, some just started working and some elders. All kinds of people White, Black and Brown and all ! Bowing to one God and saying He alone is the greatest.

This sight really inspired me, this one bond of Ummah which united people from all places of the world, to come to one place and bow their heads to One God. Inshallah, this ramadhan I will be looking forward to meet more of them, because some are too busy to come to masjid in normal times but inshallah they will be here in the holy month of ramadhan.

Although, its an initial period and I did not talk to many but one indonesian brother, 2 Malaysian brothers, some Arabs and ofcourse the Indian and Pakistani people.

Inshallah, this Ramdhan will be a good experience for me in this land of the kuffar. Hope I get out of here soon or Allah employs me to spread His deen here. Inshallah.

Which is bigger ? an ( optical ) Illusion but wait, there is more to it.....

WHICH CENTER DOT APPEARS BIGGER IN SIZE ? Left or the Right one ?
Have a look and make your decision before reading further....

Most people answer, the right center dot appears bigger in size, but on measuring both the center dots, we find they are of the same size !

You must be familiar with this image ? If no, its a very popular example of an optical illusion.
Hey! but wait, I do not intend to talk about optical illusions here. There is more to it, keep reading.

The meaning of Illusion according to the Pocket Oxford Dictionary is:

illusion n. 1 false impression or belief. 2 state of being deceived by appearances. 3 figment of the imagination. be under the illusion (foll. by that) believe mistakenly. illusive adj. illusory adj. [Latin illudo mock]

In this particular example of optical illusion our eyes compared the two dots based upon their surrounding objects and thus we concluded that the center dot on the right side looks bigger because its surrounded by dots even smaller, whereas the center dot on the left side is surrounded by dots much greater than its size.

Now the real thing

How many times we find ourselves comparing something with something else and fretting about it ?
for eg: people tend to compare ourselves with the bad guys in our society and end up being content that "atleast I am better than them" never realizing that they are people much better than us and when we compare ourselves with them, we have a long way to go in reforming ourselves and bringing it on best path. We are in an illusion, we are like the 'center dot on the right side' compared to the smaller ones around we feel bigger and better, whereas the same dot looks small when in company of the more bigger ones :) So, when it comes to good deeds and amount of Taq'wah, we should be the central dot in the left side, always in the company of the pious and better people, and comparing with them so that we remain aware of our shortcomings and thus strive harder to get better.

On the other hand, when it comes to misfortune, we always tend to compare with the people who are affluent and well-to-do. " He has a Mercedes and I just get a Ford we lament !" People always tend to compare their worldly achievement with those who have more than they have.
Like the center dot on the left side, feeling small when comparing with the more rich and more affluent of people, wanting for more to get bigger and this vicious cycle continues with an unquenchable thirst for this world. But, why not look at the center dot on the right side ? Compare with people who have less than you, who have more problems, who struggle much more than you do, on doing so we realize how fortunate we are and how ungrateful for the blessings Allah has given us.

Lets not fall into this worldly illusions, as Muslims we know this world is just a small phase. A short journey to the final destination, we are but travellers and travellers do not build mansions enroute, they gather the resources for their destination and keep moving. Our destination will be decided according to what we carry with us. A ticket to Jannah or a decree to Jahannum.

Let us take an example from this optical illusion to avoid falling into illusions and comparing situations with wrong ones and falling into the illusion setup by the accursed 'Shai'taan. Such wrong comparisons tend to weaken emaan and that is the last thing a Muslim would want.

May Allah help us comprehend the truth and walk the path

Blogs are such a great way to share, learn and teach these days, MashAllah.
I had a wise blogger who visited my humble blog home out of nowhere, and when I wanted to see who it was I visited the blog of that person, and Alhamdulillah, I learnt so much, the person has been blessed with an impressive style and skill in writing and the messages always invite you to ponder upon them.

I read an informative and eye opening post about the topic under discussion on that blog, although it was taken from a magazine, and being copyrighted I would not want to repost it here. Nevertheless I can include a wonderful famous story which is a part of that inspiring article about Tawakkul ala'Allah.

Have you ever felt low ? Forsaken and helpless ? Asking yourself, O Allah, I am a good person, I never abused anyone, nor cheated a soul, I follow your commandments, and here I am, struggling with misfortune and unfortnate events battering my life, making each day worse than the previous .... I cry out to you, day and night, in seclusion after each salah expecting that one day You shall remove this burden from me, You shall ease my path, but each day I sleep dishearted and it went on for years ....O Allah, I trust you, but why me, why me...

Does this tone remind you of a time you were in such a situation or maybe even now you are in such a situation, feeling miserable and helpless ? Here is the inspiring story first...

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island.He prayed feverishly for Allah to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements,and to store his few possessions. But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky.The worst had appened;everything was lost. He was stunned with grief and anger. “O Allah! How could you do this to me?”he cried.
Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island.It had come to rescue him. “How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal,” they replied.

Remember, next time your little hut is burning to the ground it just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of Allah.

Now we have seen innumerable examples of how Allah can turn the most unfortunate looking event, into something which was most needed. If the man's hut had not been aflame, the ship would not have located him and his provisions would be exhausted soon, would he even be alive till another ship should ever pass that way ? We can only imagine.

Nothing good or bad can ever befall us, without Allah's leave, and Allah does not 'need' any means to shower His blessings on us, He can cure us without a single medicine if He willeth so, and no medical team can help us, if He willeth not cure for us, same thing for every other situation. May Allah help us comprehend this eternal truth, the way pious sahabah did (ra) and their families did - a complete reliance on Allah as the provider, ALONE. , Ameen

Pebbles and the Girl

A very clever story I found while surfing around the blog world, I thought its worth being shared on my own blog too.

Many years ago in a small Indian village, a farmer had the misfortune of owing a large sum of money to a village moneylender. The moneylender, who was old and ugly, fancied the farmer's beautiful daughter. So he proposed a bargain. He said he would forgo the farmer's debt if he could marry his daughter. Both the farmer and his daughter were horrified by the proposal. So the cunning money-lender suggested that they let providence decide the matter.

His Game:

He told them that he would put a black pebble and a white pebble into an empty money bag. Then the girl would have to pick one pebble from the bag. If she picked the black pebble, she would become his wife and her father's debt would be forgiven. If she picked the white pebble she need not marry him and her father's debt would still be forgiven. But if she refused to pick a pebble, her father would be thrown into jail.

They were standing on a pebble strewn path in the farmer's field.

As they talked, the moneylender bent over to pick up two pebbles. As he picked them up, the sharp-eyed girl noticed that he had picked up two black pebbles and put them into the bag. He then asked the girl to pick a pebble from the bag. Now, imagine you were standing in the field. What would you have done if you were the girl? If you had to advise her, what would you have told her? Careful analysis would produce three possibilities:

1. The girl should refuse to take a pebble.

2. The girl should show that there were two black pebbles in the bag and expose the money-lender as a cheat.

3. The girl should pick a black pebble and sacrifice herself in order to save her father from his debt and imprisonment.

Take a moment to ponder over the story. The above story is used with the hope that it will make us appreciate the difference between lateral and logical thinking. The girl's dilemma cannot be solved with traditional logical thinking. Think of the consequences if she chooses the above logical answers.

What would you recommend to the Girl to do?

This is what she did :

The girl put her hand into the moneybag and drew out a pebble. Without looking at it, she fumbled and let it fall onto the pebble-strewn path where it immediately became lost among all the other pebbles.

"Oh, how clumsy of me," she said. "But never mind, if you look into the bag for the one that is left, you will be able to tell which pebble I picked."

Since the remaining pebble is black, it must be assumed that she had picked the white one. And since the money-lender dared not admit his dishonesty, the girl changed what seemed an impossible situation into an extremely advantageous one.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Most complex problems do have a simple solution.It is only that we don't attempt to think.

"Its not because things are difficult that we don't dare; Its because we don't dare, that they are difficult."

I think there are many of us out there married to people from other countries in my generation. I applaud that, but I think you have to know that you will have to address your differences (and they do exist no matter how much you are convinced you are perfectly compatible in spite of being from different places). IMHO, if you are going to marry a person from a country and culture other than your own I think there should be a few ground rules... Here are a few I have thought of, maybe you have more:

1. Both persons should be amicable to living in the other's country. You never know where you will end up. The only exception I can think of is if one spouses country is just plain unlivable due to war, poverty, whatever...

If you are person speaking the his/her native language all the time try to imagine how your spouse feels not being able to speak to his/her own children in their first language.

4. Remember and be considerate of the fact that one of you will always be the foreigner. Before you say no to helping the other person with something remember how you would feel if you were trying to accomplish such a task in his/her country.

5. Make Islam (or whatever your core values are) the tiebreaker in all your decisions. There will be no "cultural norm" sometimes and you will need it.

6. When in doubt, talk it out. You can never assume that you have the same picture of a situation as your spouse (this may go for any marriage) and you don't want to get caught up in this... So make sure you see things the same way (or at least know how the other sees it) before making any life altering decisions.

7. Enjoy the diversity in your family and respect it. Don't let yourself choose one culture and make it the norm, let both cultures thrive. You will find there is good in both.

Personally, for me every inter-racial or inter-cultural successful marriage i see reinforces in me the concept of Islamic Ummah and unity of mankind. Islam is the only bond which was successful in erasing these minor differences right from the beginning. When people were so divided on lines of lineage that, they had their own tribals 'gods', and Islam came and shocked the world by uniting the more divided nations of their time, the Arabs of Hijaz. There remained no difference between Hazrath Bilal the Abyssinian (RA) or Hazrath Abu Bakr (RA) who freed him. They remained no difference between Muhajireen and Ansar (Emigrants ,and their Helpers), the only thing which divided people, was their Taqwa or GodConsciousness, piety and morality.

Today, more number of intercultural relationships are being made compared to the previous modern generations. Firstly, due to direct interaction of various people in diverse countries like the USA. Secondly, due to the power of Internet, which makes your social circle greater than ever imagined, thirdly because people are unable to find their 'match' of similar ideals n personality in their local circles, and are overwhelmed to find them overseas.

But, as the sister pointed out and I shall never forget her words "TAKE OFF YOUR ROSE COLOURED GLASSES" : ) Yes, think it out, consider every aspect of it Positive and negative. Think about all the hardships you may face, and amount of patience n flexibility you will need. Personal aspirations and expectations from this bond should be made extremely clear to either party. Take your time, there is no hurry. But, once your in the bond of matrimony. Seek the blessings of Allah (swt) and use the sunnah of RasoolAllah (saws) to build a home of peace, happiness and security. For, of all the allowed things, the most hated by Allah is 'divorce' which is increasing at an alarming rate at the same time in Muslim societies too.

The bottomline is, Marry to please Allah (swt), choose your partner in the manner prescribed, for the qualities that please Allah, build your home to please Allah (swt) and discharge your respective duties to seek His pleasure alone. And when Allah's pleasure is put in the primary objective slot, inshAllah your home n family will be blessed by Him.

I pray He showers His choicest blessings on each Muslim home, and family and help us carry out our social responsibilities to seek His pleasure. Ameen

A sister had writted a beautiful post about the status of women and their achievement in her blog, after I was caught making fun of females in a chatroom ( although just for fun ) :)) I was making fun, only as a teaser, but its not new, in my dental college, I was famous for making jokes about girls and they all used to scold me so much though in a friendly way (the girls in my class) but once we had a debate on a college annual day, about a similar topic, and everyone was shocked that I spoke on the side of women, YES you read it correctly ! and i spoke my real opinion, right from my heart, and Alhamdulillah I also won the debate and got a lot of fame and fan following in campus ;)) not to mention the extra attention of all female professors , extra grades n bla bla ;)

When I read the post on her blog, (( which is here http://cerminjiwa.blogspot.com/2007/03/annisa-is.html )) i started writing a comment, and somehow, the comment became an article in itself. It was so embarassing to write a whole essay in a comment box LOL. but still I posted it (anyway she does not pay for blogger.com server space :)) LOL .
And now I decided, to paste the same comment, in my own blog. And THIS reflects my real view about women, and my sincere appreciation for their equal or greater contribution to this world.

This topic under discussion has 2 aspects to talk about. Women in the sight of Allah (swt) and Women in worldly sense.

As far as Allah is concerned, the last khutbah of RasoolAllah (saws) made it clear that, gender, race, skin color, age and family status are not the criteria, but a person's Taqwa is what matters to Allah. So, if a woman has more Taqwa than a man, she is superior in the sight of Allah according to my understanding of Deen. Allahu Alim.

Secondly, in the world. Islamically men are given a little superiority over women, that does not mean women are less in any sense. But, in any school there is only one principal, every army has one Leader, every solah in congregation has one Imam, and every family has one head. Here, just because man is made physically and emotionally strong and 'suited' for the leader job, he is given a little superiority, but always remember, with 'great power comes great responsibility' (i think i heard this is spiderman movie too :) ] So, if men are given this responsibility and they do not abide by Allah's rules and treat women well and respect her as she deserves, they will have an extra session of questions on Yaum AlQiyamah, dont you think ? When Allah made us leader, when He's measuring our deeds, He will surely measure how we "lead" our homes, n families and social lives too. So, men shud always keep in mind, they r superior, but the same 'superiority' in this world can be the cause of their annhilation on the day of reckoning, IF they boast of this and treat women badly or try to subjugate them in any way.

And how can we forget a great sentence from the last khutbah of RasoolAllah (Saws) delivered on the Ninth Day of Dhul Hijjah 10 A.H in the Uranah Valley of mount Arafat, where he said "the best amongst you, is the one who treats his wife with compassion\ family with compassion".

So, the conclusion is. Women have their duties and their nature is made for some kind of work.They are not 'designed' to stress themselves to seek work to earn for food, or to struggle like a man does. She is already stressed by nature itself, she need not stress herself with trying to earn n earn to look successful to other people. She may work in time when she feels well, work in what she likes as long as its in the Islamic limits, and work with her husband's permission. (after all, if hez the leader of home, discipline demands a permission, and islam is most disciplined deen). She may do business, and watever she likes, and can use that money in whatever she likes. She need not, take responsibility of household finances, she wont be asked because, she never was given the responsibility. But, she shud take care to be ready to answer about what she was given responsibility, and the best woman is the one, who takes care of her responsibility Allah gave her, and not the ones given by society or culture.

Man is 'designed' to endure more physical and emotional stress. He is been given responsibility to toil for the food, work and bring in the funds and seek halal income to feed his family. A good husband is one who works hard to bring halal income to their family, and good wife is one who is happy in what Allah gives them and is not greedy for more.

This war of genders was never a problem in Islam, cos Islam never subjugated women. This gender war started by rebellion among the christian women, and later the modern feminists from europe and america took over. The church used to doubt, if women had a 'soul', and woman was treated as 'inferior' and 'evil' and they also blamed her to 'entice' Adam (As) in eating the forbidden fruit. Because, the church subjugated them, women started rebellion and started violating all social laws, as commonly happens in all rebellions. But, man made a way to still keep her in subjugation, HOW ? men, started making women feel that, they can dress as they like, they can show themselves to 'please' people and get 'rewards' like promotions, jobs and so on. women fell for this trap and till now, most women dont realize, they are showing their bodies to man thinking she is equal, and man is mocking them, thinking what a fool she is. Islam gave women the right and power to cover themselves and be recognized for their talents, and not on false make up and temporary physical beauty, the double standards of these "women's freedom' talking nations is exposed when they stop Muslim women from wearing a Hijab !!! A woman in a skirt can use her brain, as equally as a woman in a Hijab. If 2 women teach, a woman with and one without hijab, both can do well depending on their knowledge and skill, their clothes dont make them better in their work :)) , when they stop Muslim women from wearing hijab, it shows that they dont really believe in women's equality, but in "women's fake equality which makes them do what Men want" its just like throwing a bone to a dog, and making him to do tricks !!! they dont really throw the bone out of love, but only to make the dog do what they want him to do, if the dog is not trainable, they dont throw the bones, thats simple logic they apply. They treat women as dogs, throwing the bone of "equality n feminism" to make them do what actually men "want" women to do.

But, righteous women, Muslims or NonMuslims, have realized this brain washed subjugation, and unequality in disguise today. And when a woman recognizes her potential and wants to be respected for herself and not for her body and false show, she ends up in Islaam. I wish Muslim men, do not follow the secular\communist\ modern\capitalist societies making our women do the same. Islamic society is the best, and today, our society is under constant under attack from without and from within. Its the youth, who can spread the word and make the masses realize that, Islam gave them rights, secular society in reality have enslaved women to mere things of pleasure and advertisement material.

Educate a man, and you educate an individual, educate a woman and you educate a family.

A mother's lap is a child's first Madrasah... lets help increase these good madrasahs, educate women for world and hereafter and make them aware of potential tricks the world can play to 'fool' her same way its doing to women all over the world.

And women, pls always remember, we all live for hereafter. If you dont get recognition for the responsibilities you discharged well, Allah will reward you with much more precious medals and honors, incomparable to this world. If your family needs you, be there. And men should honor their women so much, that she should never feel need to get this 'fake honor' to prove her potential and skills. Let each do what Allah likes them to do, and tomorrow, we will stand equal, no extra marks for being a man, and no extra marks for being a woman :)

Always remember, no nation can survive who subjugates women, no home can survive in which a woman is oppressed. Same way, no nation or home can survive in which men dont know how to lead, and rules n regulations n limits of leaderships. Apply this to nations and see it will suit 95% situations. "

Seven Habits of Highly Successful Muslim Youth

I remember reading a book by Stephen R Covey, titled 'Seven Habits of Highly Effective People' it is a good book and it sold more than 15 million copies. And recently I came across a more important issue, 'How to be a successful Muslim youth ?' we all know, life does not stop, it just hastens, and we suddenly realize, our youth is gone, we are old and weak, unable to face the challenges or contribute much to the society, unable to stand up long in salaah, unable to do the voluntary fasting (sawm). Of those people who will be given shade under the Arsh of Allah (swt) on the day of Qiyamah, will be the people, who spent their youth in the worship of Allah, spent their youth in His way, for His deen. Hence, it becomes really important for youth to know, how to be successful in both the worlds without compromising their faith or deen.

Be Thorough

Look around your room. How many unfinished projects do you have? When you work on homework, are you likely to rush through the assignment, ...................

Be Focused

One thousand ideas go through your head the moment you stand up for prayer. Is that you? Really? What do you make of those ideas? Do you process them? .........................

Be Punctual

Stop saying over and over again that you are late because of "Muslim standard time," or the "standard time" of your particular ethnicity. The last thing we should attribute to Islam is the notion that its teachings somehow make us late, slow. .........................

Be Consistent

Apart from all the habits listed above, perhaps the one that is sure to help you become a highly successful Muslim youth is that of being consistent. One cannot be truthful one day and a liar the next; ............................................

Conclusion

Finally, Muslims aspire to develop all of these habits because, in doing so, we draw nearer to Allah Most High. If you are intent on being a highly successful Muslim youth, then you owe it to yourself to reflect upon your own life and see how many of these habits are already a part of who you are and how many you need to further develop or acquire......................
